  • Vacation at its Finest!

"My family of 12 rented this property about a week ago and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience!! The layout of the home is perfect for privacy, but also has a great open floor plan in the common areas providing opportunity for great family time! The pool was beautiful, right on the water and just a $5 dollar taxi ride into town! I loved how safe and friendly everything was! The house smelled great and was always very clean, thanks to the sweet lady who took care of everything!! Susan was such a pleasure to work with and was always on call if we ever needed anything! Mario with security was such a wonderful man! He takes his job of protecting the house and all who are in it very seriously while also being very kind and friendly. We enjoyed talking to him and always brought him any extra food from dinner. He was very appreciative!! Sol, the chef was such a sweetheart! She was such a joy to have in the kitchen and made the most delicious meals during our stay!! I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! She is a very hard worker and creates such a beautiful meal. She even prepared our catches of fish for dinner! So delicious!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about her meals! We will most definitely be back!!"

  • Paradise !!!

"Wow... what a great 31 days in Tamarinda. The condo was just what we ordered. Quick 10 minute walk to the beach or downtown. Loved the Super 2011 for those quick shopping needs. Lianne and Jeff were fantastic. Took care of all of our questions and needs. Would go back for sure. Thank you Shawn for having a condo stocked with everything we needed. Karen & Dale"

  • Great vacation house

"This house has 3 spacious bedrooms, with large beds and comfortable matresses, and each with its own bathroom. Each bedroom also has a flat-screen TV and a large wall A/C unit, which cools the room down pretty quickly. Front bedroom also has the large dining table which should easily accomodate 8 people. The property is roughly 10 minutes walk from beautiful Avellanas beach; the boardwalk through the dead mangrove forest on the way to the beach is surreal. Property owner Ben was very helpful with info on dining and entertainment options, and was always available if we had any questions. He will also rent a surfboard or boogie board; his prices are better than if you rent on the beach, and beach rental may run out of the boards to rent. Our biggest issue with this property was lack of hot water. Although weather was hot, and cold water temp is probably in low 70s, it still wasn't very pleasant. Ben mentioned that he is looking into installing solar heater, that would improve things alot. Otherwise this was a very comfortable and convenient vacation house."

  • Truly scrumptious

"Our first try at staying in an upmarket B&B and excellent in the Dry Season, November to May. Not sure how it would work in the rain, but that could be true for many tropical areas. Stayed in the ensuite studio room called Casita Andalicia above the garage. Compact but contains small comfortable sofa, small dining table and well equipped kitchenette with good fridge-freezer and stove top. Spices condiments and equipment more than adequate. Bed a large double, not quite kingsize. Spacious shower but it desperately needs a shower boost pump if you have long hair to wash. On mains drains so can flush paper, rare in CR. Bettter than amazing Internet. All located within its own quiet secure compound within easy 10 minute, waking distance from main Tamarindo beach, bars, restaurants and a dual currency ATM. Outside space is also very compact around the small frontyard pool, potentially shared by 8 guests. Do visit the Palo Verde National Park including the boat trip on the crocodile-infested river. About 60 min drive from Tamarindo. Rafting grade 2 on Rio Corobici, but a long 2 hours away. Jolene Clarke is an excellent host and networks well with the tour providers, usually with private drivers and direct villa pickup. Airport transfers currently included in the room price and personally driven by Jolene or husband Gary. Keep up the good work!"
