  • Great vacation Across From the Beach!

"We returned to Tamarindo and stayed in this beautiful 2 Br/ 2 Bath condo with everything we needed. It was well stocked and working WiFi throughout, with Cable TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher and beach chairs. The view of the ocean and pool were relaxing! The pool and the grounds were well kept. The town is active during the day, but quiet at night. Everything is in walking distance. We used a shuttle service from the Liberia airport and did not need a car. The beach is amazing and there are many grocery stores and wonderful restaurants. We had no problem with the elevator. Blue Water Properties were very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend Unit 38 and Sunrise!"

  • Pura Vida discovered!

"If you aren't particular about the brand of chocolate, on your turned down pillow, and you want to know where to find the "real" Costa Rica, Casa Boaz is the place. We spent a week there, during rainy season, and discovered something new every day, thanks to the amazing host/owner, Andy. Although nestled in a quiet, off the main road location, Casa Boaz was easy to find. We discovered a beautiful, private, boutique hotel, immaculately maintained, and perfect for our small family, of three. Our seven year old daughter loved the pool! No cookie cutter hotel rooms here, each "casa" has its own distinct ambiance, and charms. We had more than enough room for the three of us, in our one-bedroom condo, and had our own fully equipped kitchen, AC, fans, hot water, and all the necessities. We liked the feeling of being "out of town", but just steps from the action, in Tamarindo. The hotel is a fantastic facility, and very comfortable, but only a small part of what makes Casa Boaz, the best place to stay in Tamarindo. The owner, Andy, was amazing, he was a big reason we were able to enjoy far more, than we would have, staying in a generic resort. Andy's bio says he spent a long time in Vail, CO, where he certainly learned what "World Class" service means. He's surfed every inch of every beach in the area, and guided us to places we would never have discovered without a "local's" knowledge. We were lucky that he had the time to really help us discover a lot of the country, outside of Tamarindo (we spend three weeks in CR, and followed his guidance to the letter, it was perfect). We hired him to teach our daughter to surf, and he had her riding waves in minutes. He was able to teach me, how to help her get going on the waves, and she can't wait to go again (but only after ski season is over in Bozeman)! The best part of Casa Boaz was the food! I grew up in Chicago, I am a deep dish guy to my soul, but Andy's New York style thin cheese pizza, rivals any thick crust sausage patty pizza, from Lou Malnotti's, I have ever had. Simply amazing, and worth the trip, if you are a true pizza aficionado! We also were privileged to get Andy to cook for us. We bought the ingredients, he knew where to get the best stuff, the beer, and wine; and were treated to a couple of the best meals we had during our entire trip. Staying at Casa Boaz was the best move we made, during our trip, and the vacation would not have been as incredible without a stop at Andy's place."

  • Perfect in every way!

"Horizantes del mar was the perfect location for our family of seven to spend a week unwinding. Pura vida rentals provided the ultimate concierge service to accommodate every request we had: from arranging transportation, to surf lessons, atv tours, local meals prepared in the condo, and they even drove us to the grocery store. An added perk was they provided is a local cell phone to use so that we could contact them as needed or call local restaurants and taxis. The condo was in a perfect location. You walk out and turn left and have your own private estuary to swim in. It was truly unspoiled beauty. Each night, the sunsets from the rooftop were breathtaking. It was about a 15 minute walk along the beach into town or a $6 taxi ride. The condo itself was spacious enough for the 7 of us to spread out and have plenty of room. The rooftop patio truly sets this property apart. Aside from the amazing property, pura vida rentals was the best to work with. We spent a few days in the rain forest before coming to their property and they were willing to coordinate all of our transportation from the airport , to the rainforest, to the beach , and back to the airport. We had a family issue and needed a last minute airport trip from the rainforest and they accommodated that too. All the service providers that they connected us with were top notch and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back and working with bob Wilson and his team at pura vida rentals."

  • Very Relaxing

"We loved our stay at Villa Andalucia. The lodgings are exactly what we were hoping for and expecting based on the pictures - very luxurious, gorgeous setting and yard, and excellent breakfast every morning with the other guests. After spending a few nights near Arenal, we were hoping to spend a few relaxing nights spending the bulk of our days at the gorgeous beaches. The stay did not disappoint, and the lodgings were a big part of why this was one of our favorite vacations. We highly encourage anyone to stay there, and Jolene and Gary are wonderful hosts!"
