  • Relaxing oceanfront vacation home

"Our family of four stayed for a week at Casa Luna de Miel as part of our three week vacation to Costa Rica . This was our 2nd stop and it was perfect ! It is located in a very private community and we rarely saw other people. Every morning we enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the amazing wrap around porch listening to the waves and admiring the view. As I write this review I still can't believe we we fortunate enough to be able to stay here. The home is just like the pictures and video show but only better !! We spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool which was always the perfect temperature. The bedrooms and living and dining rooms all had ac and all the rooms had great ceiling fans to keep the house cool. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked most of our meals, why would you want to go out to eat when you have this amazing view. The living room is very comfortable and has a good selection of DVDs, games( we had a few monopoly nights) and a good satellite package to those wanting to watch tv. Swimming and surf beaches are a short car ride or walk away and the water was very warm. The guards at the gate always greeted us with a smile as we would come and go and Makomba the community dog spent a lot of time with us. The house has a washer/ dryer in the garage stocked with detergent and a new bbq . Playa Negra was the perfect location for us; secluded, quite, and beautiful but close enough to activities and the tourist town of Tamarindo ( we made a few trips to the auto mercado for groceries, very much like a US grocery store) and a short drive to Lola's for lunch and drinks. Our favorite place to grab a bite in the area was at Cafe Playa Negra, very good food and friendly service. When we arrived it was the beginning of the rainy season and we did have some rain each day which was always very brief and a nice cool down. Hummingbirds, butterflies, birds, and other wildlife provided great photo opportunities. Meaghan and Jarrod were fantastic! Always available to answer questions and help if you needed anything. We enjoyed meeting and talking with them and hope to return to one of their properties that they manage in the near future . This was our first trip to CR and we can't wait to return. It was also our first non resort vacation and everything went smooth and better than I imagined it could be. The abundance of nature and beauty of the land as well as the kindness of the people makes Cosa Rica a place I recommend to everyone. Pura Vida"

  • Pura Vida!!!!

"My husband and I just spent a month in one of these apartments. We chose this spot because of the photos and reviews. We were not in the least bit disappointed! We thoroughly enjoyed our Costa Rican experience and now understand Pura Vida! The apartment is exactly as it is represented in the photos. Clean, bright, open and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is very well equipped and the BBQ is an added bonus. There are some very welcomed extras, such as numerous quality towels and linens, great beach towels and chairs. We did not lack any of the comforts of home. The apartment is on the outskirts of town, but it really is a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 15 minutes along the beach to town. We did not want to rent a car this vacation and we never regretted our decision. If we needed to get to or from town, a taxi was always available and reasonably priced. The bus also stopped right out the door. For us, a daily walk became routine. The beach is beautiful. It changes drastically from high to low tide. It is an amazing place to run - early morning or early evening. Safe for children, but fun for adults and many aquatic activities. Sunsets are spectacular! The town is very laid back, but with all the necessary conveniences. Everyone is very friendly and we always felt safe. Good number and variety of restaurants. There is a great information service in town that will help direct you towards many different tours or just answer questions. Deborah, the owner/manager is also a great help. She is available at all times and wants her guests to be happy. Her sons run the Canopy tour and that is a must activity!! Very professional and exciting but safe for all ages. There is even a discount for tenants. As mentioned in other reviews, this apartment is on the main road. There is noise, up until around 10 at night. The roosters ,dogs and monkeys also make themselves known, but all of this is part of the "true" Costa Rican experience. We so enjoyed our morning coffee on our balcony and an evening drink as the sun set, watching the world go by. We really felt like became a part of the community. All in all, a wonderful home away from home in a beautiful country."

  • Splendid time in a great house

"We stayed in Casa Ganesha with 3 other couples and our 2 years old. We all had a good time, the house is superb, the pool is a must have in this warm climate and the ocean is right next door for surfing and sunsets."

  • Best family vacation!

"We returned from a week in heaven at Ventana Del Mar! We had 14 people in our group and the house was more than big enough for us all to have space! We enjoyed every second that we spent at the house. The kids wanted to stay and do nothing but swim each day. We were able to convince them to go on a few adventures with Samara Travel that was recommend. This company was also very nice and accommodating for 14 people which is hard to do! The restaurants that are close by are all good places to eat. They each had different things to offer but we were never disappointed in our meals or service. We felt that the prices were fair and reasonable at each one. The two markets are nice and close to be able to get your food for the day or when you run out of something which for us was very often. If you are looking to do a few adventures then relax and enjoy spending time at the pool or ocean, look no further! You will love it here. 100% this place is everything you could ever want in Costa Rica for your home away from home!"
