  • Cute property. Clean and quiet.

"We loved having this casita to ourselves. It was a two bedroom with plenty of living space. Kitchen was a good size. Washed and dryer next to kitchen was a nice touch. The walk to the beach was about 10-15 minutes. We wish we could have used the outdoor space more but it was too hot! Shelley and Robert were super helpful as were the the folks at Horizon Pacific who help manage the property. We would definitely recommend this to future travelers. PURA VIDA!"

  • Spanish flair mixed with an intoxicating feeling of romanticism. An oasis of monkeys and trees.

"Be ready to be woken up by the monkeys and end your day by swimming on the exquisite little pool before going to watch the sunset on the beach a few blocks away. Don't forget to grab a cold Imperial from the local spot."

  • Lovely home, some service improvements needed

"My family and I recently stayed at Casa Temoana, and here is a summary that might be useful for others considering it for their vacation. The House: The house itself is very inviting, with well-ventilated open spaces all around. This is a two-story house, where you have the rooms in the second floor, and a master room and the social areas on the first floor. A big open kitchen, with all necessary appliances, a rustic wooden table as dinning space, and lounge area, good for a chat with friends or to play games at night, creating an appealing laid-back environment. This is not a luxurious house, as compared with other houses in Hacienda Pinilla, and there is no central A/C, so for those of you that suffer under high temperatures, this might not be the best option (rooms do have A/C). The Pool and Rancho: The pool and the adjacent “rancho” is where you will spend most of your stay. The water temperature is just perfect; you can spend all day in here. A small part of the pool is shallow, just perfect for little kids, and the rest of the pool is just deep enough to be able to stay cool, but allows you to stand without problem. The Rancho is an open area with a hammock, a table, some chairs, and a BBQ. The hammock is just great to read, and feel the breeze. The Service: We found the service to be sub-par. House cleaning was only provided some of the days we stayed; there was no toilet paper (we had to buy our own); we invited two friends for dinner and were told by the house keeper that we would have to pay extra for this; the pool was not cleaned on a regular basis (we had to clean it ourselves); the laundry room was locked so we couldn’t use the dryer for our towels, and an overall hyper-vigilant attitude from the house keeper that we found unacceptable at this price range. All in all, we had a great time at Casa Temoana; however, we think they need to improve the service in order to be competitive with the other rental houses in the area."
