  • Fabulous condo and property!!!

"We came to Tamarindo for our annual girls getaway. This condo was perfect and the property was heavenly! We had breakfast on the terrace daily and the views from the terrace made you feel like you were in a secluded tropical oasis. There's even a view of the ocean as you shower in the master bath. Amazing! The condo had everything we needed: beach towels, washer dryer, laundry detergent, diswasher, huge refrigerator & freezer. The pool areas (2 of them) were at least double to size of the Diria Hotel and 5x better! Restaurants, the beach, and activities were within 5 mins walk of the condo. You don't need a car, unless you plan to get out of the Tamarindo area frequently. There are two mini marts within walking distance and a larger and really nice supermarket 5 mins drive. Taxi there costs $2-$3. I travel alot during the year for work and fun. This is one of the best properties in which I've stayed. I highly recommend this property."

  • Wonderful Tamarindo 'Hideaway'

"Every bit of information about this excellent 2 bedroom home was absolutely 'right on'. It was off the main street area, but just a half block from 'the action'. My wife and son and I were able to walk to many of the nice restaurants and the beaches nearby. The two bedrooms are very large and are air conditioned, which was nice in August. The large living and dining area was not air conditioned but we did not spend that much time in there. We enjoyed our morning breakfast and coffee on the wonderful pool deck. When we arrived we had some issues with the WiFi and the coffee maker did not work. We reported this to Maria, the property manager, and she promptly had technician come and fix the WiFi the same day. She also brought a brand new coffee maker for us to use that day. Very responsive to any questions and those were really the only two minor problems we had. It is very comfortable and we would definitely stay there again. Some of the restaurants we liked were Dragonfly, Bamboo, and Pizzeria La Baula. We also spent one day at the Playa Langosta Beach Club and for $10 per person we were treated like members for the day. Lounges on the beach, pool privileges, etc. Great time there in Costa Rica."

  • Tamarindo is wonderful

"My wife and I spent two wonderful weeks here in January 2015 and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful place to stay. At the south end of Tamarindo Beach across from Langosta Beach Club, it was the perfect spot to be close to everything. We had full access to LBC and were treated like royalty. We were an easy walk along the beach to Tamarindo. The staff were great - Juan took us to the main grocery store twice and waited while we shopped. The unit that we had at Ibis was perfect - both bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious, the kitchen and laundry facility had everything you could ask for, and the living room and deck were comfortably furnished. The remote for the TV in the living room never did work but what little we watched, we could watched in the master bedroom. Stefano was the other person at the front desk and both he and Juan were friendly and informative. Definitely a repeat vacation"

  • Beautiful House - Detailed review including the positives and negatives of the property

"We spent the summer in this house and know it quite well! It's very safe here and despite prior comments it is in a fully enclosed gated neighborhood except for one path to the beach (i've walked it many times). It is also patrolled by security 24 hours. The house itself is really beautiful we stayed here with a 5 and 7 year old and it is well equipped for cooking and entertaining. There are 2 tvs one in the master bedroom, one in the living room. The living room has a DVD and Blu-Ray Combo. It also has a surround sound system that i never could get to work however i only spent 10 minutes trying. There is a stackable front load washer dryer system that worked well for us. The pool in the backyard is great as mentioned in a prior post it doesn't have full sun. Although it gets a good bit of sun throughout the day and with the heat here you don't really need direct sun. The house is also filled with some great books (i've read a lot of them). Also on the first floor is a 1/2 bathroom. There's a winding tile staircase to the second floor with the 2 bedrooms. Both of the bathrooms are showers (no tub) They are also partially outside so you must keep the door to the shower and also the door to the bedroom closed at all times. However, we loved the outdoor shower it's really nice to listen to the birds and the sounds of the tropics while you shower. We did not have a car while we were here and walked to town or the beach club everyday. You can walk along the beach by cutting through the back of the neighborhood or you can walk out the front and take a dirt road to town. We commonly walked out to the road and then cut through Capitan Suizo to the beach this is a little easier and gets you into town in about 15 minutes. The internet in the house is slow compared to the USA but pretty standard for Costa Rica. We are able to use Skype and stream media with one device at a time. The negatives are that the A/C doesn't work very well. There are 3 compressors in 3 zones. One for downstairs and 2 for the bedrooms upstairs. The downstairs A/C will work for about 3 or 4 hours set at 78 degrees and then it will freeze up. The kids bedroom only works for about 2 hours before freezing up and the master bedroom works for most of the night without freezing up as long as you remember to turn it off during the day. The other downfall is that the house is not sealed up well, so there are a few harmless creatures wandering in and out mostly geckos and ants."
