  • Perfect getaway for a family

"What a great trip. Casa De Memphis II was the perfect house in an amazing location for our family trip. The property is laid out ideally to allow family members to have their own space when needed, while the pool and family room were outstanding common areas. In fact, the pool was used almost non-stop. The Nosara area was great too. Playa Pelada next to the house is a little quieter - had the beach to ourselves many times, while a short walk or drive allows you to be at busier beaches. There are a number of options in restaurants in Playa Pelada, which are walking distance. Playa Guiones is only a few minute drive away, and is more bustling - although still very laid back. Surf lessons were a fun family activity in Guiones. The Casa De Memphis owners - Dave - and manager - Tiffany - were also very helpful both in advance and upon our arrival. Again, a great trip!"

  • Loved Our Visit to Tamarindo

"Recently visited Tamarindo with husband and two teenage boys for Spring Break with other families/kids. We stayed in a two bedroom house complete with every convenience of home and a small private pool. The house was lovely, clean, comfortable and perfect for our family. The pictures posted are very much like the real thing! From the house it is a short walk (8 min) to the beach club and a little longer (15 min) to town. The walk from beach club to town is much better by beach vs. road. A car is not necessary, but we rented one anyway and were glad to have it as we made frequent trips into town for groceries, dining, etc. Bob was very easy to work with as well as the concierge staff. Overall, we really loved our Costa Rica vacation and would recommend this property. It exceeded our expectations! Thanks, Bob!"

  • Exactly as we had hoped

"Couldn't have had a more perfect place to call home for the time we were in Costa Rica. I was there with my wife and children and everything was perfect. The home is beautiful, with all modern amenities, the pool is beautiful and private, the house was clean, the area is very quiet and safe. You definitely want a rental car for the flexibility as you'll need to drive to most things, but in a car it is only 5 minutes to Playa Langosta, 10 minutes to Playa Avellana and 15 minutes to Tamarindo. There's so much to do in Costa Rica, but sometimes it's also nice to have a home away from home. This was it... at night it's great to sit in the pool, watch the fireflies and listen for monkeys. Wonderful experience and can't wait to go back."

  • Beautiful, Affordable Home with Spectacular Views!

"My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property for one week in April during the dry season and it was truly not long enough. While the roads leading to Nosara are rough and challenging, they have kept the small towns of Nosara and Guiones tucked away and undeveloped. It truly is an escape away from it all. The house was well-equipped, well-maintained, and offered at a very reasonable price. The wildlife (Howler monkeys, coatimundi, array of birds, and more), sunsets, and views of the Nosara and Montana Rivers as they join the Pacific Ocean were beyond spectacular. We loved relaxing around the beautiful, warm infinity pool. The beaches are gorgeous and we enjoyed visiting Nosara, Peleda, Garza, Guiones, and Samara. Peleda and Guiones do not have much shade but there are palm trees on the others. There's a small bike shop in Guiones that rents beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. We highly recommend hiking the trails at the entrance to the Biological Reserve, which is very close to the house near the Nosara River and the trails right near the house that lead down to Playa Peleda. We found a wide array of pretty shells and huge sand dollars hiking down Nosara Beach at low tide. We took surfing lessons on Guiones, which was perfect for beginners at low tide. We enjoyed eating breakfasts at Cafe Paris in Guiones, the local tico-style food at Rancho Tico, and dinner at La Luna (get the Greek humus appetizer - yummy!). While Carl and Cathy were not at the house during our stay, we felt comfortable with Alex and Alejandro, who checked in on us and were there if we needed anything. Don't forget to feed their family of goats across the street. We highly recommend the house!"
