  • Luxurious vacation home away from home with a breathtaking view!!

"What a beautiful luxurious house on the top of the mountain close to Panama Beach! The accommodations were very comfortable for our family of 4 with room to spare. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully furnished, the bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable with a spectacular view. There was even a BBQ pit to grill in the evening if so desired. The definite highlight was the back yard that had an infinity pool that looks out over the Panama Beach Bay. We watched the sunset from the back porch on the rocking chairs while the kids played in the ´pool. The view was breathtaking. We didn´t want it to end. It was a wonderful, peaceful, relaxing vacation that all ages could enjoy."

  • Casa Sereno, perfect vacation home

"My wife and I stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and absolutely loved it. The back yard is definitely the nicest of all the homes in this gated community. The outdoor showers are pretty cool too. A quick thank you to Bob, Stefano and Juan! Exceptional customer service above and beyond what I've experienced in my other travels. Whatever you need they will take care of it. We followed the recommendation of another person's post regarding the air conditioners. They are not USA units so they are not built to run constantly. We left the units off until we went to bed. The bedrooms cool down in a matter of 10 minutes. So don't run the units all day because they'll most likely crap out. We never had a problem with our units while the neighbors did because they ran them non-stop. And you don't need them during the day because even though it was 90 degrees outside it was never that hot at the house with all of the tree cover. The breeze created by opening all of the pocket doors was fantastic. It is only an 8 minute walk down to the Langosta Beach Club or a 15 minute walk into town. We ended up spending a lot of time closer to the house because of the amenities nearby. We ate a lot at Cala Luna or Capitan Suiza which were on either side of the gated community. The food at these two hotels was exceptional. We were able to eat at a table on the beach twice at Captian Suiza. I highly recommend! What's also convenient is the little shop right across the street where you can book tours like zip line or buggies. The buggies were fantastic and be sure to request the muddy route. Don't miss the ice cream that they have in the shop as well. Very rich and creamy. My wife also enjoyed the coffee here morning or afternoon. $2 coffee or ice cream. Sure beats making your own or walking in to town. If you want to avoid the busier Tamarindo beach in front of the beach club then walk up towards Langosta Beach and follow a trail down to the water. Very quiet and exceptional beach. I would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Costa Rica. We enjoyed the quiet seclusion away from the busy town of Tamarindo."

  • Wonderful time on the Beach

"Just spent 4 wonderful nights in the House of Summer Sand. Kalli and the staff at Tropical Homes were super easy to work with--great communication before and during our stay. The condo is just as pictured--very clean, nicely furnished, well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, glasses, blender, toaster etc and spices), excellent WIFI and air conditioners. We loved spending our mornings drinking coffee, listening to the surf, and watching the pelicans diving into the water. Spent our days exploring many of the nearby beaches--Sugar Beach and Danta beach were our favorites. Bought fresh fish from the local vendor in Brasilito (south side of town, East side of road), super fresh, good prices and very nice people. The landscaping around the condo is very nice, we never heard any noises from the neighbors below us or next door. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again."

  • Awesome Home! Fantastic Vacation!

"What a great place to stay! The house was perfect for our needs! The layout worked out perfectly! We put the kids in the downstairs room together and they felt like they had privacy and could have their own fun! The bedrooms for the adults were great! King size beds, comfortable mattresses, nice linens! A big thank you to Suzanne and Jennifer for all of their help in setting up our tours! Sure made things easy! Also, their knowledge of the area made our exploration of the area much easier. Suggestions for dining, adventures and beaches were all perfect! The location was great. In a quiet area with plenty of room for the kids. The outdoor games were an added bonus. What a great outdoor entertaining area you have developed! Having the game area and the pool together was so much fun! We could be in the pool and cheer the others on in their games. We highly recommend staying at Villa Calypso! It had everything we needed. High speed internet was great to have, the grill, the kitchen had every utensil we could ever use, plus the indoor and outdoor dining was great! Thanks for making our vacation a wonderful experience! We will be back!"
