  • Super Samara!!!

"We spent 10 incredible days in the village of Samara. We stayed in the bottom apartment of the house. Unit was clean and well stocked with comfortable beds. It is on the North edge of town and only a few minutes walk from everything. Great bakery just around the corner. Dana was very easy to deal with and helpful with local information. LOTS of really cool spots along the beach and many excellent food options. We ate out everyday and never had a bad meal....the food is fresh and tastes awesome. If you enjoy a laid back beach vibe....this is the place."

  • Fantastic house

"The house is spacious and beautiful. The pool was great, the views were great, and the kitchen/dining/living area was beautiful and very spacious - 15 people could hang out comfortably in the combined area, especially if you slide the glass doors to the patio. The house was in great condition and the bathrooms were big with new fixtures. There is no staff in the house, but John and Ronnie(?) were accessible by phone if you needed anything. I thought the house was a good value relative to others we looked at. There are just a couple of issues that people need to be aware of when booking. The first is that there is a huge disparity in the bed rooms. The master suite is INCREDIBLE, taking up the entire top floor. The three bedrooms on the pool level are all large and very nice, each with bathrooms en suite. The bottom three bedrooms, on the lowest level, are small, basic, down a flight of outside stairs, and share one bathroom. It worked out fine with our group - we just agreed that the people who got those rooms would pay significantly less than the others. But I could see it being an issue with some groups. Second, it is a little far from town, so you probably need a car or golf cart (or to use cabs, which are very reasonable once you find one). The walk to town/beach isn't bad (10-15 minutes) but the return trip, up a big hill, is pretty tough during the daytime heat, and pretty dark at night. Notwithstanding those issues, I would definitely stay there again if we go back to Tamarindo. The house overall is well worth it."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was nice and clean and well equipped. Host was easily reached and responded quickly. • Beautiful House, Perfect for Families and Groups

"We have rented several houses in Playa Grande over the years, and this was by far the most comfortable and well maintained. The house is spacious enough for larger groups -- though there were only six of us, we had two kids under the age of 12 and two grandparents over 70, so having two living areas helped. The pool, cleaned daily, is also a good size. And the house is well stocked with everything you need, from extra towels to extra corkscrews. We look forward to staying here again."
