  • A Relaxing Spot by the Beach

"Laurie's Beach Bungalow was a perfect spot for us. We wanted a quiet little place away from the crowds of Tamarindo or Playa del Coco. The property was lovely and pictures on VRBO are accurate. The property is gated and includes laundry facilities which was completely necessary since we packed light. All the amenities are walking distance from the rental. The Super Wendy has your groceries, the Smoking Pig has BBQ and Perla's does an easy breakfast. If you are staying longer, the property has everything you need to cook your own meals. The beach is walking distance and was uninhabited. Its like having a private beach. We spent a lot of sunsets around the corner at Playa Flamingo. We also went to Las Catalinas for kayaking, paddleboarding and mountain biking. Tamarindo is still a quick drive from the bungalow and maybe takes 20 minutes. The reason for a 4 star rating is because the air conditioning was a hassle to use. I fought with it for a while and finally my girlfriend got it to work rather easily. We left it set because I didn't want to touch it again. When we checked out, Laurie said she was planning on replacing it soon. I would give a 5 star rating with a new AC. Great price, beautiful location, quiet getaway. You will love it!"

  • Awesome Punta Dakota

"This is a beautiful, well maintained luxury villa with an awesome infinity pool. The concierge services were wonderful. The ocean is less than 1/2 mile away and the surroundings are breathtaking. Definitely want to visit again!"

  • Casa Sereno, perfect vacation home

"My wife and I stayed here the week of Thanksgiving and absolutely loved it. The back yard is definitely the nicest of all the homes in this gated community. The outdoor showers are pretty cool too. A quick thank you to Bob, Stefano and Juan! Exceptional customer service above and beyond what I've experienced in my other travels. Whatever you need they will take care of it. We followed the recommendation of another person's post regarding the air conditioners. They are not USA units so they are not built to run constantly. We left the units off until we went to bed. The bedrooms cool down in a matter of 10 minutes. So don't run the units all day because they'll most likely crap out. We never had a problem with our units while the neighbors did because they ran them non-stop. And you don't need them during the day because even though it was 90 degrees outside it was never that hot at the house with all of the tree cover. The breeze created by opening all of the pocket doors was fantastic. It is only an 8 minute walk down to the Langosta Beach Club or a 15 minute walk into town. We ended up spending a lot of time closer to the house because of the amenities nearby. We ate a lot at Cala Luna or Capitan Suiza which were on either side of the gated community. The food at these two hotels was exceptional. We were able to eat at a table on the beach twice at Captian Suiza. I highly recommend! What's also convenient is the little shop right across the street where you can book tours like zip line or buggies. The buggies were fantastic and be sure to request the muddy route. Don't miss the ice cream that they have in the shop as well. Very rich and creamy. My wife also enjoyed the coffee here morning or afternoon. $2 coffee or ice cream. Sure beats making your own or walking in to town. If you want to avoid the busier Tamarindo beach in front of the beach club then walk up towards Langosta Beach and follow a trail down to the water. Very quiet and exceptional beach. I would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Costa Rica. We enjoyed the quiet seclusion away from the busy town of Tamarindo."

  • Beautiful Condo

"My husband and I have stayed in the Sunrise condo complex 3 times. This was by far the nicest one we stayed in. The vaulted ceilings make that place feel much larger. It is right across from the Diria and a quick little walk across the street from the surfing section of Tamarindo. It is close to many restaurants, bars, and shops."
