  • Fun Family Friendly Fantastic Home

"This house made our month long trip to Costa Rica absolutely perfect!! The house was so very nice. We loved it! From the minute we arrived (late at night) the lights welcomed us to Costa Rica. The property managers met up with us and let us into the house. They were very pleasing and easy to work with! This house had everything we needed and wanted. It was fully equipped just like it states in its information. It had everything our family could use on a vacation... games, tv, surfboards, boogie boards, bikes, and coolers. This house is not right on the beach, but the location ended up being in the greatest spot of all of Guanacaste. We ended up renting a car for the month, and it made it easier to get to other beaches, but Playa Grande ended up being one of our favorites for sure! We made so many great family memories in this house!! They provided all the information you could possible want or need, and the property managers made our excursions easy to book! The house is beautiful inside and out! The pool was very fun to swim in. At the time the Jacuzzi Tub did not work, but that didn't stop us from having fun! The house is equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning in every room, which was a very big plus for us! The house comes with a maid service, which came twice a week, and they cleaned the house wonderfully! We only had one incident, where we ran out of water (there was a water shortage) but we called the property managers and we had water the very next day. The house comes with running water, washer and dryer, and a great outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach when you come into the house. It does provide you with a great patio and we sat outside and BBQ'd often. We loved the security of the house, and felt very safe the entire time! This house is an subdivision but yet is somewhat all by itself. It made it feel homely. The wifi worked wonderfully and we had no problems with it. From the start, we emailed the owner he was very accommodating in helping us book this home for the month. He was easy to work with and that was very pleasing to us!! If we could say that their was something we were disappointed in, we could honestly say that it had nothing to do whatsover with this home or its management. But... beware the road into the estates is a bad road. It is full of potholes that they have never fixed. It did not stop of from loving this home though. We would HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone would love to visit Costa Rica!!!"

  • Awesome house in the perfect setting!

"We stayed for 9 days as 2 couples and were blown away! The house is bright, spacious, surrounded by wildlife & has all the amenities - pool, wifi, A/C, safes. From the moment we booked Jim's son Willy kept in regular contact with us up until our arrival, and Jim even called us during our stay to check in and offer recommations of things to do! Max took great care of us during our stay! Bedrooms: This property has 3 master suites which can accommodate 3 couples as each has its own full bath & privacy (2 of the rooms have entrances separate from the main house). The true "master" is the entire second floor and it's HUGE with a large balcony. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have sliding doors and their own small patios. Kitchen: Big and has all the necessities - blender, coffee maker, fridge, stove, microwave, cutlery/dishes/pots/pans. There is a washer and dryer off the kitchen. Backyard/Pool: The pool was a good size and kept at a nice temperature. Max came in regularly to clean and maintain it (check PH levels, etc). It provides a nice ambiance at night too with the pool lights. The backyard is huge and backs onto jungle so it is very private. There is alot of wildlife - we saw a family of monkeys in the trees above, a large variety of birds and lizards. The bugs were not an issue, but it doesnt hurt to bring bug spray just in case. There is an outdoor BBQ too! The beach: The beach is a 3 minute walk from the front door. Area: There are afew restaurants and small grocery store (Wil-Mart) within walking distance which has a good assortment of staples (fruit, veggies, eggs, milk, condiments, personal hygiene items, sunscreen). Although there is some wear and tear on the property (which can be expected in a rental) it is nothing that would make us think twice about recommending Jim's beach house or staying there again! Amazing trip!"

  • Great place to vacation.

"We travelled with two other couples and rented Crystal Sands 202 for two weeks. We found the accommodation attractive, spacious, clean, comfortable and inviting. The particular highlights were the amazing view from the large, private deck, the huge master bedroom, the pool with a generous amount of seating with quiet, private surroundings and the maid service every second day. We also appreciated the individual controlled air conditioning in each room, the new, thick, white towels and generous assortment of bedding. A couple of drawbacks included the poorly equipped kitchen and the distance from the swimming beaches. We have to admit though, the 20 minute walk along the beach to the sensational beach in Tamarindo town was a good way to work off the delicious food and drinks. We particularly enjoyed the sailboat trip with Serendipity recommended by Sebastion. We would also highly recommend the chef, Vanessa, who Sebastion booked to come into our condo one evening to cook us dinner. We didn’t rent a car and if we didn’t feel like walking the taxi cost only $5 into town. There were many good restaurants close by and plenty of shopping in Tamarindo."
