  • Location, Location, Location!!!

"A group of 10 of us, ranging in age from 10 years old to 74 years old stayed here for an amazing week. This house may have the best location in Playa Hermosa, as it is right on the beach, and less than a 2 minute walk to multiple restaurants. Literally, you walk out of the gate, step 30 feet down the path through the grass, and you are right on the beach. It doesn't get any better than that. The house itself is huge, with plenty of space for multiple families. Upstairs is the master suite and one gigantic bathroom, along with a small bunkroom as well. There is a sitting area, and a covered patio upstairs, and then there are three bedrooms with attached bathrooms downstairs. The multiple living areas are large, and well laid out, and the pool was great. Coconut and mango trees throughout the property, as well as a family of howler monkeys that like to hang out in the trees. The kitchen has two refrigerators, and there are more towels and linens than anyone could use in a week. This is a walled compound, and is very safe, and the caretaker lives right on the grounds with his family, Andre and his family were great, very unobtrusive, but helped us with anything we needed. Individual AC units downstairs and a very strong AC unit upstairs. The compound is located right next door to Roberto's. The beach is very nice, and the water by and large is very calm. Just down the beach was some amazing snorkeling, and you can take snorkeling trips right off of the beach, where we saw an amazing array of fish. In fact, the snorkeling was much better than we anticipated that it would be. Playa Hermosa is not a huge party area, which was fine for us. Playa Del Coco was about 10 minutes away by car, with a number of large grocery stores, nightclubs and restaurants. We found, however, that pretty much anything we wanted to eat we could walk to from Villa Daquiri. We were down during a school break, and even so, it was not very crowded at all. An added bonus was the fact that it was about 25 minutes from the airport to the beach. As far as activities were concerned, we did multiple snorkeling trips and a fishing trip, leaving right from the beach in front of the house, as well as a zip lining excursion that was less than 30 minutes away. This villa is comfortable, convenient, close to restaurants and right on the beach. A great place from which to explore everything that Costa Rica has to offer. Overall, it is very highly recommended by our group."

  • Perfect getaway for a family

"What a great trip. Casa De Memphis II was the perfect house in an amazing location for our family trip. The property is laid out ideally to allow family members to have their own space when needed, while the pool and family room were outstanding common areas. In fact, the pool was used almost non-stop. The Nosara area was great too. Playa Pelada next to the house is a little quieter - had the beach to ourselves many times, while a short walk or drive allows you to be at busier beaches. There are a number of options in restaurants in Playa Pelada, which are walking distance. Playa Guiones is only a few minute drive away, and is more bustling - although still very laid back. Surf lessons were a fun family activity in Guiones. The Casa De Memphis owners - Dave - and manager - Tiffany - were also very helpful both in advance and upon our arrival. Again, a great trip!"

  • Beautiful location

"We recently visited Costa Rica for the first time. This was also the first time we used VRBO to book a place to stay. Donna was very helpful from beginning to end. The casita was just as it appeared on the photos. It was very clean, well cared for and close to the beach. Tamarindo is labeled as a surfer beach and there were plenty of surfers but the water was beautiful and there was no undercurrent so we felt very safe and went swimming every day. At times we were the only ones at the beach and in the water. We visited nearby beaches and opted for a couples massage rather than any of the other many activities available in the area. We managed well with our GPS in the rental car and would definitely rent a car again to explore different areas. Pat and Roger were very helpful in helping us to plan our day. The foliage was beautiful even though it is the dry season. The huge mango tree in front of our porch was full of fruit that the monkeys enjoyed daily. We will most definitely stay there again and had a great experience."

  • Perfect Locations with Super Amenities and Charm

"We totally enjoyed our vacation while staying at Case de Valencia; it was wonderful. The home is full of Costa Rican charm and truly meet our every need. The photos from the website were very accurate of what you see, but we still felt in person it was better still. The location is just a few minutes walk into town so it's quite but not remote. Though you can chose to walk to town on the road we usually went by way of the beach...scenery was just a little more fun. The cleaning staff, security attendants, and RPM management were all excellent as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The grounds were so well maintained and the house was very clean and neat. Traveling with children in a foreign country meant safety was a concern but security was excellent; we didn't have a moment to worry. We truly hope we get to go back one day soon. What a wonderful experience."
