  • Very nice place in a fun, safe little town on the beach

"We stayed a few days before heading south. Everything was as described. Very nice and exceptionally clean. We had what we needed to cook, bathroom was properly stocked with towels and the bed linens looked brand new. Frank had some nice beach towels for us to use, so nice I left them alone because I didn't want to get them dirty! There's also a propane grill and, I think, a cooler too. The unit is very secure and was easy walking distance to beach, bars and restaurants. The shared pool area is wonderful and like many others posted, we enjoyed the friendly people staying in the condos around us as well as they people who were taking care of the grounds. Also, Frank was very helpful, hospitable and accommodating. He even dropped what he was doing to rescue me from myself when I accidentally locked stuff in the safe and couldn't get it open again because I didn't read the directions. I look forward to renting from Frank again! Mark and Amy"

  • Really great place

"Everything was as easy as could be. The owner was very responsive to some initial questions. Upon arrival we were met and given a tour of the house and a demo on how to operate everything. The kitchen is really nice with modern appliances and a big granite island. There is ac in the bedrooms that was nice to use, but some nights we just slept with the fan and windows open (all windows have screens and security bars). In short, it's a very nice house. The view is terrific and the property makes you feel like you're all alone, even though there are other houses around. It's very peaceful to sit on the porch and listen to the sounds. The nearest beach and town are laid back. There's more of a Tico feel than tourist feel, which was what we were looking for. One thing to note was that one night the wifi stopped working so I called the property manager on the house phone. They were very responsive and made the call to the company, set up the appointment for the repair, and waited for the technician to show up to repair. We knew this was going to be happening while we were out exploring the next day so it was not an inconvinience at all. When we returned that night the wifi was repaired and all the trash cans were emptied. I believe that this small gesture demonstrates the property managers attention to detail and true care for the renters. Sure, it's not a big deal to empty the trash cans but, hey, we were on vacation and it was one less chore to deal with! So thanks again if you're reading this."

  • Book here for your Tamarindo stay

"Booking, paying, arriving to Tamarindo etc was easy with this rental! It is very clean and the washer and dryer is always nice amenity! The location is not beach front, however, the walk is easy and not far from the beach, shops and food. My friend and I rented a car since we traveled to 3 different cities in Costa Rica but next time we are utilizing the shuttle services the VRBO owners recommend. Bring cash because while most places take credit cards, most do not. They do have ATM's for if you do run out, but it is a hassle. That is one thing my friend and I wish someone had told us so now I am telling you! The beach experience wasn't as nice as it was in Samara (the city we were in before we drove up to Tamarindo) because the local vendors were constantly walking up and down the beach all day asking you if you want to purchase something. But besides that, Tamarindo is a fun place to stay in Costa Rica and about an hour and a half max from Liberia airport. We enjoyed our time at this location and will be back I'm sure!"

  • Loved this villa

"My wife and I stayed here for a few days after spending 6 days in Montezuma, and absolutely loved it. The villa itself isn't really anything fancy, but it is clean, in very good condition, and has a great location! The kitchen had everything one could need, including a fridge, freezer, and microwave. We also took advantage of having a clothes washer and dryer, so that was a nice plus. The internet worked great too. There is 24/7 security within the community, and we easily made friends that we shared some meals with. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the sand or to the clubhouse/store/pool. The beach is a protected bay, so there aren't any waves. It's also soft sand, so you can stroll or run for miles in either direction. The community is fairly isolated, so you should be ready to rent a car or grab a cab or take an excursion or something if you want to explore. I played golf and enjoyed the course. The wildlife within Los Delfines is pretty amazing as well- monkeys, iguanas, all kinds of birds (and lots of them!). We even saw a few deer. I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay in the area. We liked it a lot, and would recommend it to a friend."
