  • I Don't Want To Go Home!

"We are now at the end of a luxurious 3 week stay at this tropical paradise at Stef Surf in Potrero, Costa Rica. Our condo is 1 block from the ocean and has all the amenities of our home in Calgary. The property caretakers, Francisco and his wife, Marling, keep the grounds looking wonderful and the condo clean and fresh. The swimming pool was always a welcome cooling off highlight after a full day in the sun. There are lots of really good restaurants close by and we never had a bad meal. Our best meal was at La Celeste (Italian), a short walk up the road. We also made good use of the condo BBQ. The temperature has hovered between 32 and 34 degrees - perfect for starting our summer tans. Our local concierge, Lis, helped us book zip lining along the Congo Trail, a sail boat charter off our local beach to a secluded location with snorkelling with a diving coach (guide) and an overnight trip to a working ranch at La Carolina. All were wonderful and created everlasting memories. This has been our best vacation ever and there is no doubt we'll be back. I don't want to go home!"

  • “Sophisticated Jungle Living”

"Where to start? Dos Palmeras is located in a prestigious area of Nosara, a five minutes drive above the coast, and immersed in the fascinating rainforest. Private and tranquil, this beautifully designed house provides the perfect base for dipping in and out of the surrounding attractions, beaches and activities. Whoever planned/designed this villa thought of everything, and the facilities/equipment on hand are top notch. We are just loving eating out al fresco around the pool, and relaxing in between jaunts out around this stunning natural area. We are travelling with two teenage children, boy and girl, and the layout of the house is ideal for this set up as everyone is enjoying their own space and privacy. The best way to describe it would be 'luxury living within your own slice of paradise' - perfect for nature, animal and bird lovers - as you can while away the hours around the gorgeous infinity pool looking out for the different species of birds and animals passing through your very own garden! As for the surrounding area: we had read many reviews with people moaning about the dirt/rough roads around Nosara. This for us has not been a problem at all, and it's important to remember that the best things and places in the world are always slightly less accessible - we sincerely hope that the roads do not get too perfect - as this will encourage too many visitors and development. At the moment this all adds to the authenticity of the area, described by many as the Hawaii or Malibu of 30/40 years ago. Let's hope it stays this way and the fabulous ecosystem stays intact. During our stay we surfed, watched an 'arribada' turtle nesting event at Ostional, had a day out on Quad bikes, zip wiring, horse riding, kayaking...and in between enjoyed returning to our fabulous base of Dos Palmeras. All within easy distances. We have to say that our stay at this lovely property in many respects has made our holiday, and there's no question that should we ever return to this area we would stay here again (shame Costa Rica is so far from us!!). Highly, highly recommended."

  • Gorgeous view, Great location, All the amenities to keep you cool, comfortable and relaxed.

"What a gorgeous view to wake up to every morning or watch the sunset at night! This condo has everything you need to make you feel right at home. A porch with grill, living room, kitchen, two gorgeous bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a large tub and multiple showers mean you have all the space you need to enjoy your stay. It offers a great location close to many great beaches and within an hour or so of the lush green mountains. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and it was a blast. We went up to the cloud forest of Monteverde, snorkeled at Ocotal, spread out on the white sand beach of Conchal and rode horses and swam in waterfalls of Guachepelin. Staff are friendly and very helpful at the gate and on the property. Pool and tennis courts are first class. Supermarkets are close by and the kitchen is full appointed. We were not left wanting for anything. Our neighbors were super friendly and helpful too. We can't wait to go back... Pura Vida!"

  • Breath taking views with unbelievable hospitality

"Visiting Costa Rica was on our bucket list. I had a friend of mine that stayed at Las Ventanas del Mar last year and recommended we checked it out. The photos on the website are beautiful but the actual property is gorgeous. There was 6 of us traveling together and when we opened up the door to our unit we were like kids as we walked around and yelled out to each other how amazing the home was with it's beautiful decor and the wrap around porch with views of the Pacific Ocean. They had left no small details out. We had access to beach chairs, snorkel gear, tennis gear, beach towels, coolers which all came into use. The infinity pool was unbelievable with its views of the ocean and mountains. We would go out almost every night for a swim and to wind down from the day’s activities and look at the stars. On a clear night go out and relax under the stars. It's like you can reach up and grab the stars as they look so close. Lorena, the property manager, was so helpful. She was very welcoming in our visit and always there to assist us with any questions or needs we had. We traveled outside of the property everyday as there were so many things we wanted to do. We did surf lessons at Samara Beach, rode ATV's for a sunset tour, traveled to Sibu Sanctuary where they rescue monkeys in need of medical care and release them back into the wild. We drove to Punta Islita and Playa Corozalito to be lucky enough to watch them release 68 baby turtles into the ocean. Each of the beach towns we visited were uniquely different with their sands, color of the water and break of the waves. The food and drinks were delicious. If you are adventurous and want to go out towards Nosara and their beaches, make sure to find La Luna for lunch. Go hungry as the food is amazing and in large portions. Our overall experience was beyond our expectations. We will be back again soon!"
