  • delightful hacienda

"Our visit to Rancho Rio Montana was in a word - fabulous. On a hilltop, overlooking the Pacific Ocean as we were lounging in the infinity pool as the sun started to set over the horizon, the constant breezes keeping us comfortable during the bright sunny, warm days and during the moonlit, starfilled evenings, one could only think he or she had arrived at some magical, truly special spot and they would be correct. The hacienda is wonderfully designed - spacious, open and beautiful. No glass but all rooms have shutters that can be opened wide to allow the breezes to blow through and all for spectacular views in all directions A very private location on the 1300 acre ranch - a perfect spot for a family or small group. There is plenty to do..very well trained and cared for horses are at your disposal for riding the hills and trails behind the hacienda with knowledgable and delightful guides. Beaches are large, unspoiled, uncrowded expanses of sand with rolling waves and areas that are hotspots for surfers. Ziplining is nearby and numerous yoga or spa opportunities are in nearby Nosara. Local restaurants serve up delicious local fare espcially the fresh fish and the local fruits and vegetables are wonderful. The ranch manager is Rene who is friendly, knowledgable, helpful, multi-lingual and works hard to make sure every visit is perfect. While a fit of a drive from the airport in Liberia, Rancho Rio Montana is worth every minute it takes to get there. Picturesque, relaxing, comfortable, delightful -our five days there were a truly memorable time. David N."

  • Family Celebration

"Our extended family of nine stayed for a week in January to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. The house was everything we had hoped for. The kayaks a bicycles were used extensively. Everyone enjoyed walks on the beach, dips in the pool and the ocean, sun on the patio, and bike trips around town. The house had everything we needed and the location was fantastic. Excursions like zip-lining and nature tours are less than an hour away. Playa Potrero is a far cry from over-populated all-inclusive resorts. The town has everything you need from restaurants to corner stores. If you're looking for a laid-back locale with stunning scenery and a house with all the amenities...look no further. We'd certainly stay at Casa de Suenos again and again and again."

  • Perfect paradise!

"We were greeted by the nicest ladies and brought to the house. They went over everything regarding locking up, and alarming the home, very efficient, and helpful. We've enjoyed the house immensely! It's in the perfect location on the hill, as the nice breezes are quite refreshing! It's a quiet and beautiful home, very authentic jungle experience for sure. The house itself is an amazing place, pool was perfect size and temp, patio was comfortable and accomidating for dinner or just hanging out on, loved the architecture of the entire property. The inside felt like home, comfortable, clean, simple, but has all of the modern necessities. Internet worked great, AC was wonderful, water pressure etc, and all the cooking and cleaning products you'd need for daily living. The beds were very comfortable, and fit our family perfect. A great home for families coming to enjoy Costa Rica at its finest. Also, was very safe for my 4 year old. The drive to town is maybe 5 minutes. There you will find great beaches, restaurants, and stores. It's an a amazing town. I enjoyed being able to drive back up the hill as the day came to end, to our quiet sanctuary in the jungle. Highly recommend!!!"
