  • Breathtaking home!

"My husband and I spent a week at Casa Holmes celebrating his birthday. The house is spectacular. Steve and Lisa from Zindis (local property managers) were both welcoming and helpful. We booked a tour with Lupita from Vargas Tours (based on Nita's recommendation) to Monteverdi and were impressed not only with the beauty of Costa Rica, but the knowledge of our guide Franco of all things Costa Rican, Central American and the flora and fauna of this beautiful country. We found travel fairly easy and the local area charming. Massages by Carmen were the icing on the cake of a relaxing week. Nita is so welcoming and responsive to any questions. The house itself has everything you need and, while certainly daunting, the driveway is manageable! Highly recommend this amazing home and lovely area."

  • Great place to stay! Better than pictures!

"The owners were very responsive and provided lots of information prior to our arrival. When we got to the condo we met Nick and the cleaning lady (Evelyn). Both of them were so hospitable and welcoming. The place was super clean and was even better than the on-line photos. There were so many extras throughout the condo that made our stay even better. We all LOVED the pool (especially the kids) and the views were simply amazing. The walk down to the beach was no problem but if you want to bring a lot of stuff with you it might be easier to drive otherwise I would suggest early morning walks to the beach. Our only problem was that we didn't see any howler monkeys from the condo but we sure heard them. When we come back we will stay here again."

  • Costa Rica Birthday Celebrations

"Celebrating my 40th birthday at Villa Caramar was simply perfect. We rented the house for a week and when it was time to go, it felt like we had just arrived. The house was spacious and comfortable - the AC throughout the house worked perfectly. The WIFI didn't work flawlessly, but Gina worked diligently to restore WIFI service as quickly as possible. While the inside of the house was great, the outside infinity pool and ocean front views were a hit. We spent every day in the pool! The sunsets were priceless. The ocean waves were beautiful and the sound at night was so relaxing. The beach is more rocky than some may prefer, but with the infinity pool steps away, no one wanted to lay on the beach anyway. We had a chef come to the house (PasCam) to prepare our first and last nights' dinners. Pascal and Camille were fantastic and so professional. Highly recommend! One afternoon, Catherine, a massage therapist came to the house and each of us had private massages. It was such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Lola's Restaurant was one of our hot spots - we would have liked to have tried more local joints, but mid-October is not yet 'in season' so many were closed. I recommend stocking up on food/drink at the Auto Mercado in Tamarindo to avoid hunting down places to eat. We ziplined and went horseback riding with Pura Adventure coordinated through TPV. Gina, the home caretaker, was so fun. Maria, the house keeper, was terrific. Booking the house was easy; finding the house was a bit challenging, but once you get the hang of the area, it's easy peasy. Rent a 4x4 - - you will need it, at least in October. Enjoy Costa Rica at Villa Caramar - you won't regret it."

  • Amazing Vacation Home

"This is an absolutely delightful estate! The view is spectacular, the accommodations sublime and comfortable. The Howler monkeys came with their babies to visit in the morning. The caretakers Freddy and Luisa were extremely nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this vacation home to anyone needing a place to stay near Samara. The driveway is rough and you will need a 4x4 and a good driver to traverse the steep incline but once you arrive it is well worth it!"
