  • Great vacation in Langosta Beach.

"We stayed in two different units in this building in late January. For three nights we stayed in a ground floor level apartment, for the second half we moved up to a second floor unit. Both apartments have similar two bedroom layouts. Ground floor had a large patio and the second floor had a large balcony. There were plenty of linens, towels, beach towels, fully equiped kitchens, washer/dryer, ceiling fans, comfortable furnishing and air conditioning. They did provide a roll away cot. The building rep Bob Wilson met us when we checked in and gave us useful tips about the condo, the beach cub and the general area. There was a concierge in the lobby during business hours. There was someone stationed at the gate 24 hours a day. We felt completely safe and secure. The street in front is not paved, it is a tar covered rocky road. It is quite busy for such a remote and quiet area. Not heavy traffic, just a light constant stream of cars, buses and motorcycles. The buidling backs onto a nature preserve. We did see monkeys right outside our balcony. There were plenty of birds as well. Howler monkeys early in the morning. One negative of this locations was there were a couple of nights when our bedroom was overcome by a terrible skunk odor. It passed, but it did wake me in the middle of the night. The sliding doors to the balconies and patios don't quite seal so you have to be prepared for visiting bugs (waterbugs and mosquitos) and even small iguanas (or lizards?) scurrying though the apartment. Te groud floor unit was a little worse for the wear. The freezer leaked water from the water dispenser so every time you opened the freezer door water spilled on the kitchen floor. This was annoying. All of the burners on the stovetop did not fire up. The second floor unit had great A/C except for the second bedroom, it was very warm and coldn't be cooled down. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The building is very well maintained. Every morning they sweep the outdoor pathways as well as the inside lobby and staircase. They were painting the lobby when we were there. The elevator was not in service but that was no big deal as we were on the ground level and the second floor."

  • Convenient and comfortable, beautiful views

"My family had a wonderful time at Villa Buena Vista. The house has everything you need to feel right at home. There's plenty of kitchen supplies to cook all meals, piles of towels to take down to the beach, and 4 lovely dogs that welcome you every afternoon. We especially liked the short drive to Playa Danta beach resort. You can rent kayaks, SUP boards, boogie boards, and mountain bikes to ride or hike the extensive trail system with gorgeous views of the gold coast. We felt safe having the dogs around as well as Ernesto, who lives on the property also. Wifi signal was strong and air conditioning units in each room worked perfectly. If I could make any recommendations it would be to change the mattresses in bedrooms 2 and 3, which are uncomfortably hard, though the sheets were clean and soft. I would recommend this property to travelers of all ages and groups from 1-6 people. This is the life! Pura Vida!"

  • Best Family Trip!

"We recently stayed at Casa Colina with our 2 teenaged daughters and another family who has 2 daughters the same age. The villa was perfect for us! There was ample room for everyone. Closet & drawer space was plentiful. The linen closet was well stocked with sheets & towels. The bathrooms were spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Glad to have the washer & dryer for daily laundering of dirty clothes/bathing suits from all our adventures! It was also very helpful to have the safe for our valuable items. The villa wasn't just functional, it was also beautifully decorated. Everything looked beachy & fresh. It was a pleasure to be there! In terms of Bahia Pez Vela, we felt very safe - there's a security gate. Walk to the beach was only a minute or so. There is a pretty steep hill that you can't get around when going to the beach, so if you have trouble walking that might not be ideal, but was fine for us. It is a little tucked away, but we loved that. The cove is gorgeous & it was nice to have a virtually private beach. We ate at the on-premise restaurant, Picante, one evening & everyone enjoyed it. We wished they had a breakfast offering. Cesar & Jacky in the office were helpful with suggestions & securing taxis. Prior to our trip, Neil, the homeowner, was very responsive & helpful. In terms of Guanacaste, GO! The country is beautiful, the people are friendly, the food is excellent and the activities are endless! We will go again & we would absolutely stay at Casa Colina again!"
