  • Lovely house, great location

"We stayed here for 9 days over New Year and really enjoyed it. House is well stocked with all that you need and the pool was perfect as it got very hot during the day. We went horse-riding and boys went fishing both of which were really good fun, and a boat trip to Palo Verde where we saw so many birds and crocodiles. The house is far enough away from the beach to feel secluded yet an easy 5-10 minute stroll away so we had some lovely early morning walks, and enjoyed a few drinks at sunset. We had some problems with the air con, which you really do need as it was very hot at night when we were there, but Laura who runs the place was wonderfully helpful and could not have done more to help. There have been security issues in the area so we hid things when out for the day, and there is security at night so that was great. All in all a lovely location, and really lovely house."

  • Perfection!!

"I can't express enough how amazing Mike and Irma (owners of Twin Dolphins B&B) were during our one week stay. Me, my husband and a couple friend of ours stayed in their penthouse room which was very adequate space for us. We had our own patio with a beautiful view of the beach right at our front door basically. The location was very quiet and not too many people around. Every morning they prepared a delicious breakfast for us that started with coffee and assortment of fruits and then whatever he decided to cook for us - EVERYTHING was delicious! Mike is a man who wears many hats! His stories are incredible and he has so much knowledge of the country. You can tell he absolutely loves Costa Rica. His wife Irma is precious as well! Mike helped us book our tours that we wanted and was just a great resource throughout the trip. If you want an adventurous and memorable experience, do the Adventure Day at Hacienda Guachipelin! BEST EXPERIENCE!! That included zip-lining, horseback riding, white water rafting and a volcanic mud bath with hot springs. It was all of our first time doing anything like that. We stayed pretty local so we didn't rent a car. We mostly walked or got a taxi a few times to visit the neighboring beaches (Flamingo and Conchal). We truly left a piece of us there and we told them we would back definitely! They left the best impression and I would recommend them to anyone who visits. BEST VACATION EVER! Thank you Mike and Irma for everything! Pura Vida!"

  • Loved the condo.

"This condo was perfect for us! There were four of us, my husband and two grown kids (18 and 21). Although we did not spend much time in the condo, there was plenty of room and privacy. Having a washer/dryer is a dream, we could have packed way less than we did. The kitchen is wonderful, very clean, and while we did not cook we had coffee and breakfast items, which saved a little hassle and money. We booked a couple of trips through the hotel (zip lining and river cruise). Definitely take a look at the guest book, you will get lots of ideas where to go. Our favorites were Green Papaya, Dragonfly and Seasons. We took a trip to Playa Avellana and ate at Lola's -- great food there, and beautiful beach. Make sure you check hours and payment before going to some places -- Lola's was not open for dinner, Season's doesn't take credit cards, Green Papaya is closed on Mondays. As someone said the WIFI isn't too strong but it is available and you don't really want to be online too much. We saw lots of monkeys on the property and off, and parrots in the early morning (off the property). Neil (the owner) and Katia (from the property management company) were very helpful and responsive."

  • Casa Surfside lived up to all our expectations

"We enjoyed our visit to Casa Surfside! It is certainly a very comfortable Casa on a beautiful Surfside location. As first-time visitors, there is always some anxiety about "will it be as described – what did negative aspects were not mentioned" – etc. But Casa Surfside was just as described and lived up to all our expectations. We are hard-pressed to find any negative aspects – I didn't find any gold doubloons in the beach sand, and I couldn't use Mark's kayak, but otherwise we had an excellent holiday and Jorge and his minions do a good job in maintaining and providing for a comfortable stay. We hope we will be able to return before too long."
