  • Great time!

"My three teens and I stayed at the treehouse for five nights and had a great time. The place is gorgeous! Local staff were quick to help when a toilet clogged. The hosts left boogie boards out for our use, which was awesome. On-site laundry is great. Kitchen is well-equipped and I cooked frequently, made my morning coffee, etc. You must have a car. Beautiful wild beaches are minutes away for surf & sunsets. Great ceviche at nearby Playa Negra Cafe. A quick drive (45 minutes) brings you to very different beaches, calm and crystal clear, perfect for swimming & snorkeling. (Tip One: if you don't like insects, there are some grasshoppers, etc., around but keeping the lights off at night in open areas helps keep them away. Tip Two: late afternoon may be a good time to catch the howler monkeys; half a dozen of them romped and fed one late day after a rain when we put off going to the beach, such a treat!) We also had an adorable frog who hung out in one of the bathrooms. We'd peek in every day to say good morning. :) All in all, it's a real treasure, this treehouse, and I'd love to go back."

  • Gorgeous view, Great location, All the amenities to keep you cool, comfortable and relaxed.

"What a gorgeous view to wake up to every morning or watch the sunset at night! This condo has everything you need to make you feel right at home. A porch with grill, living room, kitchen, two gorgeous bedrooms with their own bathrooms, a large tub and multiple showers mean you have all the space you need to enjoy your stay. It offers a great location close to many great beaches and within an hour or so of the lush green mountains. This was our first trip to Costa Rica and it was a blast. We went up to the cloud forest of Monteverde, snorkeled at Ocotal, spread out on the white sand beach of Conchal and rode horses and swam in waterfalls of Guachepelin. Staff are friendly and very helpful at the gate and on the property. Pool and tennis courts are first class. Supermarkets are close by and the kitchen is full appointed. We were not left wanting for anything. Our neighbors were super friendly and helpful too. We can't wait to go back... Pura Vida!"

"We honestly could not have asked for a better place to stay while we were visiting Costa Rica. The house is BEAUTIFUL and David and Kelly are amazing, helpful, friendly, and super chill - just all around great people. The house is on Playa Grande which is just a 10-15 minute walk down the beach from Tamarindo - so the placement of the house is perfectly between having your own, secluded little beach spot (with amazing surfing) and also being just a boat taxi away from an amazing little surf town. The perfect balance. Definitely a recommended stay. Definitely would stay again in the future. Pura vida, my friends!"

  • Great vacation in Langosta Beach.

"We stayed in two different units in this building in late January. For three nights we stayed in a ground floor level apartment, for the second half we moved up to a second floor unit. Both apartments have similar two bedroom layouts. Ground floor had a large patio and the second floor had a large balcony. There were plenty of linens, towels, beach towels, fully equiped kitchens, washer/dryer, ceiling fans, comfortable furnishing and air conditioning. They did provide a roll away cot. The building rep Bob Wilson met us when we checked in and gave us useful tips about the condo, the beach cub and the general area. There was a concierge in the lobby during business hours. There was someone stationed at the gate 24 hours a day. We felt completely safe and secure. The street in front is not paved, it is a tar covered rocky road. It is quite busy for such a remote and quiet area. Not heavy traffic, just a light constant stream of cars, buses and motorcycles. The buidling backs onto a nature preserve. We did see monkeys right outside our balcony. There were plenty of birds as well. Howler monkeys early in the morning. One negative of this locations was there were a couple of nights when our bedroom was overcome by a terrible skunk odor. It passed, but it did wake me in the middle of the night. The sliding doors to the balconies and patios don't quite seal so you have to be prepared for visiting bugs (waterbugs and mosquitos) and even small iguanas (or lizards?) scurrying though the apartment. Te groud floor unit was a little worse for the wear. The freezer leaked water from the water dispenser so every time you opened the freezer door water spilled on the kitchen floor. This was annoying. All of the burners on the stovetop did not fire up. The second floor unit had great A/C except for the second bedroom, it was very warm and coldn't be cooled down. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The building is very well maintained. Every morning they sweep the outdoor pathways as well as the inside lobby and staircase. They were painting the lobby when we were there. The elevator was not in service but that was no big deal as we were on the ground level and the second floor."
