  • DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!!! PURA VIDA!!

"We stayed at four VRBOs during our four week vacation in Costa Rica and the Sea Shack was definatly our favourite. We didn't want to leave. The outside living area is superb especially for playing cards, reading and drinking wine and beer in the evenings. The kids loved the pool. Sea Shack's location in Guiones is PERFECT. Anne and Roger were awesome hosts and directed us to the local fish guy as well as the local fruit and veggie truck. We met some other lovely people who directed us to "Trick or Trunking" Our kids were upset about missing Halloween however the local ex-pats all park their vehicles and the kids trick or treated at the trunks. It was very memorable. Sea Shack kitchen has every amenity you need an the air conditioning in the bedrooms was perfect. The surfing in Guiones was superb!! I can see my husband and I returning for an extended stay in the next few years! Thank you to Anne and Roger...we will def be back! LOVED LOVED LOVED the Sea Shack!!"

  • Awesome! Right on the beach

"This condo was amazing. The place was immaculate and kitchen was well-stocked. Better than the pictures! It had underground parking and a really nice pool. We felt very safe there. Tamarindo was a bit sketchy, but this was right out of town. The beach is very rocky so we didn't swim or play in it. We drove to Playa Avellenas and played in great waves there. We will definitely stay here again. It was beautiful."

  • Great time!

"My three teens and I stayed at the treehouse for five nights and had a great time. The place is gorgeous! Local staff were quick to help when a toilet clogged. The hosts left boogie boards out for our use, which was awesome. On-site laundry is great. Kitchen is well-equipped and I cooked frequently, made my morning coffee, etc. You must have a car. Beautiful wild beaches are minutes away for surf & sunsets. Great ceviche at nearby Playa Negra Cafe. A quick drive (45 minutes) brings you to very different beaches, calm and crystal clear, perfect for swimming & snorkeling. (Tip One: if you don't like insects, there are some grasshoppers, etc., around but keeping the lights off at night in open areas helps keep them away. Tip Two: late afternoon may be a good time to catch the howler monkeys; half a dozen of them romped and fed one late day after a rain when we put off going to the beach, such a treat!) We also had an adorable frog who hung out in one of the bathrooms. We'd peek in every day to say good morning. :) All in all, it's a real treasure, this treehouse, and I'd love to go back."

  • Very nice and great view.

"Wish they had AC. Also bring slippers as it's dusty during the dry season and the floors are somewhat dirty."
