  • Fabulous villa for the whole family!

"Thank you so much Cathy for allowing us to stay in your beautiful villa. It was so comfortable for the 6 of us and we all loved hanging out in the pool each day. We would recommend this to anyone who wants a villa with plenty of space, privacy, nice air conditioning, and located close to the beach. Also if you enjoy cooking your own meals, this villa is perfect with a nicely stocked kitchen and also has an outdoor grill. The cleaning staff were so nice kept the villa and the pool so nice. The wifi was actually than our own wifi back home! We would hang out primarily at playa Langosta where there was great body surfing waves and good waves to learn to surf on. We walked into Tamarindo usually twice a day to hang out at the beach there, shop, dine, and also to meet up for the sunset sailing trip. We enjoyed the walk as that is when we would see monkeys up close as well as large lizards and beautiful foliage. We used Native's Way and went on their 80 ft schooner for a 5 hour catered trip with a stop for some awesome snorkeling. We also went on their 12 hour trip to Rincon del la Vieja to zipline, tube, ride horses, and enjoy the hot springs. What an amazing day. In Tamarindo, we highly recommend Nordico coffee shop for meals any time of day (breakfast, lunch or even a light dinner) - they have amazing healthy fresh food and smoothies and are located right at the intersection of the main road coming in from Langosta and the main road in Tamarindo. We also highly recommend taking a taxi from Tamarindo to the Auto Mercado which is a very nice grocery store about a 5 minute drive from there. The folks at RPM were awesome and very helpful whenever we had questions about anything. They also made sure we were picked up from the airport late at night and taken to the villa with keys in hand as well as returning us to the airport for a very early flight. We never had any issues with anything. The people of Costa Rica are some of the friendliest people we have met, we always felt completely safe and secure. There is also a safe in the Villa where we could keep our valuables when we were not there. Thanks again so much - we had a great vacation!!!"

  • Grand House perfectly situated

"We had a family of 12 staying at Casa Grande for a week and had a wonderful time. All the rooms were spacious, clean, and air-conditioned. The pool and outdoor area were great. Our favorite is the wide beach behind the house. During the time of our visit, the water was very warm and the waves are just right for the children to boogie board or learn surfing. The beach is sandy and long, making it a great spot for morning or evening walks. The house keeper and his wife were very friendly and helped us booked various excursion at very good price. The last stretch of road going to the house is a muddy dirt road that has lots of pot holes, so I would recommend getting a 4-wheel drive. Overall, it was a wonderful stay."

  • A very special trip!

"We just came back from a wonderful time in Nosara! Casa Madera Mar is a beautiful home and in a great location/proximity to a gorgeous stretch of beach. Just a short stroll to incredible beach sunsets and tide pools. Having the pool to cool off in was perfect. The kids loved the "ring toss" game and ping pong. We felt very safe with the friendly security guards, who would make sure we got home when walking in the dark. We had visits of Howler monkeys, armadillos, raccoons, green parakeets, and there was even an anteater up in the tree in front of the house. So much to do right in Nosara. Don't miss La Luna, a delicious beautiful restaurant the next beach north of Guiones. Tico Nosara Surf shop was the best for board rentals and surf info/lessons. The local people were so lovely and genuinely sweet!"

  • Perfect relaxing retreat

"We had a wonderful time during our three week stay in Samara. We were a family of four, with two teenagers. The condo was absolutely perfect for our needs--plenty of space with an open layout, a ten minute walk to two different beaches (Carillo and Samara), everything we needed to cook, and a huge DVD and book collection for rainy periods and the early nightfall. Plus we got to watch troops of howler monkeys on two different occasions in the trees across from the outdoor patio and around the pool! (Being on the second floor is perfect for bird and monkey watching, and the views of the surrounding hills and sunsets are spectacular.) Both the kayaking to the Isla Chora and the zipline company are also in walking distance, and the pool was perfectly maintained--nice for hot days! Since we had such a long stay, we rented a car, and the drive into Samara is only a few minutes and the road is great. That was not true of other properties in the area that we had considered--so glad we went with this one. Dean and the property manager, Laura, had great suggestions and were quick to respond to any of our needs or questions."
