  • A Wonderful House with Gorgeous Views

"My wife and two sons stayed at this property over New Years. The house is exactly like the pictures on the site. Clean, spacious, and well appointed for our six day stay. Perfect size for the four of us. Only a 5 minute drive to beautiful Carrillo Beach and 10 minutes to Samara. We used the kitchen and outdoor grill for breakfast and lunch. We ate dinners in Samara which has plenty of restaurant options. Pool was well maintained and has a stunning view of the ocean. Maid service was provided and the property's caretaker was there several times during our stay. To reach the house you must drive a steep rutted dirt road from Playa Carrillo. A four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. I would highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning some day."

  • Cute property. Clean and quiet.

"We loved having this casita to ourselves. It was a two bedroom with plenty of living space. Kitchen was a good size. Washed and dryer next to kitchen was a nice touch. The walk to the beach was about 10-15 minutes. We wish we could have used the outdoor space more but it was too hot! Shelley and Robert were super helpful as were the the folks at Horizon Pacific who help manage the property. We would definitely recommend this to future travelers. PURA VIDA!"

  • Perfect in every way!

"Just got back from a week at La Choza and this house was absolutely perfect!! We have 5 kids and this was the best vacation we've ever had. The owner of the house, Raini, was fantastic. She was in touch with my wife via email countless times and gave us advice regarding directions, places to go, even restaurants. She really went the extra mile to make sure we had a great vacation. The house is simply deluxe and has everything you could possibly need. The pool is amazing. The layout is ideal for families and the huge deck overlooking Playa Negra is spectacular. There is only a short walk to one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica. Fatima the house keeper was also great as was her husband Jose who looks after the pool and the yard. You can really tell that the owners have thought of everything when constructing this incredible property. I can't imagine a better place to stay!!"

  • Best Family Trip!

"We recently stayed at Casa Colina with our 2 teenaged daughters and another family who has 2 daughters the same age. The villa was perfect for us! There was ample room for everyone. Closet & drawer space was plentiful. The linen closet was well stocked with sheets & towels. The bathrooms were spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. Glad to have the washer & dryer for daily laundering of dirty clothes/bathing suits from all our adventures! It was also very helpful to have the safe for our valuable items. The villa wasn't just functional, it was also beautifully decorated. Everything looked beachy & fresh. It was a pleasure to be there! In terms of Bahia Pez Vela, we felt very safe - there's a security gate. Walk to the beach was only a minute or so. There is a pretty steep hill that you can't get around when going to the beach, so if you have trouble walking that might not be ideal, but was fine for us. It is a little tucked away, but we loved that. The cove is gorgeous & it was nice to have a virtually private beach. We ate at the on-premise restaurant, Picante, one evening & everyone enjoyed it. We wished they had a breakfast offering. Cesar & Jacky in the office were helpful with suggestions & securing taxis. Prior to our trip, Neil, the homeowner, was very responsive & helpful. In terms of Guanacaste, GO! The country is beautiful, the people are friendly, the food is excellent and the activities are endless! We will go again & we would absolutely stay at Casa Colina again!"
