  • Just returned from paradise .....

"We just returned from a wonderful stay at Plumita Pacifica. If you are looking for a tourist town and glam, stay elsewhere. What you get here --- only 2 hours from the Liberia Airport --- is the most beautiful 2-mile beach to yourselves and total relaxation. If you absolutely must go to Tamarindo LOL, it is only about an hour away. The roads though ..... UGH. There are restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend Sylvia at the neighboring Hotel Castillo Divertido for a mangrove estuary kayaking tour. She was fabulous. We also used TPV for a riverboat animal tour, lunch and stop in Guaitil, where pottery is made. The pottery was incredible. I dare you to leave without buying any! The nice thing about TPV is they pick you up and bring you home. Again ... those roads! Gary's description and photos are pretty much right on. It is a beautiful, quiet setting and most everything you need is there. Bring shampoo, soap and beach towels though, as they were not provided and stores are not close. The bed was super comfortable, but not the furniture in the main sitting area. A great shower is important at a beach place and you get two - indoor and outdoor! The wi-fi is great ---- we used it to log into work and also to watch movies. Totally reliable and a huge plus, since it got dark about 6PM. We had lots of sun and beach time and the best thunder/lightning/rain storms!! Gary is a very nice man who genuinely lost Costa Rica -- and full of great information on the local area. I would highly recommend a trip to Gary's Plumita Pacifica!"

  • Adventures in Costa Rica

"We stayed at the house for one week. The house is on the edge of the jungle. Close enough to Samara but far enough away from the crowds. Punta Islita is just a few miles south of the house. You do need a 4x4. Being off the paved roads is where adventure begins. If you want the remote and real Costa Rica experience, there is no need to go back to Samara (except for gas). There is a very nice place to eat in Punta Islita (Restaurant Kambute). The food was more traditional Costa Rican. Further south you can find more places to eat. We enjoyed going to the Coyote area for breakfast ( but that may be too far for some). We saw parrots every day. Heard the howler monkeys everyday. Saw them most everyday. Macaws visited the property one day. Great views! Great beaches! Mike was great with information, suggestions and about everything we threw at him! Thank you for a great adventure, Mike!"

  • Oasis in Paradise!

"Finding this property was the catalyst to our exciting Costa Rica adventures. We enjoyed all the comforts of home at the end of every day as we explored the beauty of the jungles, hot springs, waterfalls, beaches etc. on our daily excursions. The ocean bay view from the condo decks are breathtaking, as we sat each evening listening to howler monkeys and watching sunsets. The condo is turnkey and beautifully appointed with every amenity including washer/dryer and a very helpful local property manager to assist in any questions or needs. With 2 very private master suites w/balconies, its a great fit for couples or families. The clubhouse and fitness center are a definite plus with lush palm trees surrounding a beautiful pool and spa. A five star experience!"

  • Perfection in Costa Rica!!

"First off, Kim was absolutely amazing in how much she put into my fiancé's and my stay at her property. She went above and beyond by giving us a dozen or more restaurant recommendations in the area. The property itself was immaculate and the Westin community is perfection!! I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone who expects 5 star properties / amenities. I will absolutely stay here again in the future!! Thanks again, Kim!!"
