  • Great property!

"We had a wonderful time at the condo. It was a second trip for us to Reserva Conchal and this was another very nice place to stay. Great owners to work with. Last time we were in the Bouganvilla Condos, also a pleasant stay. The condo was very clean and comfortable for us and our two daughters. View was nice. Birds were fun! Just watch your food! The condo pool was great. Sat and watched a monkey there for a long time. Beach house and pool is fabulous. Food is fine at the Beach House but we enjoy all of the lovely nearby towns and their restaurants. The beach is very nice. Shelling is lots of fun! Didn't even go over to the Westin as we enjoy the "quieter" atmosphere on the owners side. Will definitely return again someday!"

  • Breathtaking home!

"My husband and I spent a week at Casa Holmes celebrating his birthday. The house is spectacular. Steve and Lisa from Zindis (local property managers) were both welcoming and helpful. We booked a tour with Lupita from Vargas Tours (based on Nita's recommendation) to Monteverdi and were impressed not only with the beauty of Costa Rica, but the knowledge of our guide Franco of all things Costa Rican, Central American and the flora and fauna of this beautiful country. We found travel fairly easy and the local area charming. Massages by Carmen were the icing on the cake of a relaxing week. Nita is so welcoming and responsive to any questions. The house itself has everything you need and, while certainly daunting, the driveway is manageable! Highly recommend this amazing home and lovely area."

  • This home has everything for relaxation!

"We can"t say enough about how much we enjoyed this property and the kind attention from Ed (The property manager). The comfort of the house and the well equipped kitchen are without equal. We were thrilled by the great birdwatching (saw at least 20 different types) right from the terrace. The cabana and pool area are landscaped and very well maintained with beautiful tropical plants and flowers. We especially enjoyed the mini library with travel and wildlife reference books. We were very near to Nueva Arenal with nice stores and good restaurants. The location of this home is very convenient to La Fortuna and a few hours from Santa Elena. We recommend this lovely property and would love to return."

  • Perfect Adventure

"The place is gorgeous! Exactly like the photos. The entrance is grand and the house is huge!! It was so comfortable. I'm going to break this review down into as many sub-sections as I can so that reviewers can have an overall perspective of the property. I stayed for a week with 8 other adults. All 5 bedrooms were utilized. There are 4 in the main home, and 1 little casita (think guest house) behind the home on the property. PROS: The grandeur and the beauty was a huge plus for our group. Location was great close to beaches, on a golf course, centrally located to other towns. HOWEVER, rent a car or golf carts - depending on what you plan to do on vacation. The compund/reserve that the golf course is located on is huge, so going to the beach house, etc can be a long walk. Going off the reserve is not possible without a car. The home is in Tamrindo beach but closer to Playa Avellana, which is gorgeous and known for its surfs! Another bonus pro, the house is technically not handicap accessible; however, my friend who has limited mobility and uses a wheel chair was able to stay in one of the bedrooms on the lower level of the home, with entrance through the garage with no problems. He was able to comfortable get around the interior and exterior of the home in his chair. Royce was so easy to work with! Totally accommodating and very responsive to any questions or needs we had! CONS: It is a Caribbean location be prepared for things outside of your control, like random losses of water or power. (We can be so spoiled with life's luxuries) The home advertises as coming with house keeping everyday, but be flexible in your interpretation of that. Remember, you're in a villa, a private home, not a hotel! Keeping that theme in mind, pack all toiletries and other necessities you may need. The home had very limited selection of seasonings and condiments for food. We had to buy everything, food in Costa Rica is not cheap. But with these as the only cons, I'll take it! Already planning a return trip :)"
