  • Ultimate relaxation

"My family and I stayed in San Miguel in January. It was a very pleasant experience. Beautiful nature, amazing beach, wonderful people. This place is the ultimate relaxation getaway . The condo is very cozy, clean well maintained with the important amenities. If you need to get away and want to connect with nature it is a Must visit!"

  • Beautiful ocean front villa

"Diosa del Mar is situated on the pacific coast about 40 minutes south of Tamarindo. The five bedroom villa offered plenty of individual and community space for our party of ten. The villa is directly on the ocean and allowed easy access to the beach. The steps to the beach maybe difficult for some. Directly in front of the villa is a rocky area, however, the beach to the south was great for a morning run or afternoon swim. We used the services of Laura's Bistrot for breakfasts and a few dinners. Food was always ample and us local ingredients. We had one person with a gluten allergy and Laura made sure to consider this and provided alternative options. Some suggestions: Add a telescope or binoculars. A number of times we saw some whales and dolphins out in the water. It would be great to be able to watch them. The weather is beautiful but it gets extremely hot in the late afternoon as the sun starts to set. Suggest adding a couple of stand up fans to help move the air."

  • Absolutely Pura Vida!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Highly recommend this condo! Beautiful location just outside of the more busy Tamarindo but close enough to even walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. Across the street from the beach with beautiful sunsets from the rooftop. The only negative comment I have is the rooftop needs some TLC and you do have to walk a litlle way down the beach if you want to swim in the ocean. The condo itself is fabulous!! I'm somewhat of a clean freak and the condo was spotless, well stocked kitchen & beautifully decorated. Loved the pool area which we basically had to ourselves. Bedrooms are located away from each other which is nice for 2 couples sharing the condo. Very safe with security guards. All of the staff was great-very friendly and accomodating.Especially enjoyed the gardener, Armando!!If you want true CR culture, check out the rodeo in Huacas! Also the boat trip down the Tempisque River (booked thru RPM) You won't be disappointed.Enjoyed our last night dinner at Lapalapa restaurant including a fire show and live music. Not highly rated on Trip Advisor but we tried it anyway-one of our best meals in CR!If you are able, check out the Arenal Volcano area-absolutley beautiful!! We started our vacation in Jaco area and finished here-very glad this was our final spot in CR! The country is beautiful with so much to see and do. CR people(Ticos) are so friendly and helpful even if you speak little Spanish. Pura Vida!!!"

  • Matched our expectations

"We are back home from our month long February stay in Playa Flamingo at Dan' place . His condo was perfect for us because it was modern , clean and had a million dollar view from the living room balcony . We rented a car which allowed us to travel to the many coastal villages and towns within an hour that each had thier own unique beauty and a surfer bar that would always surprise us with high quality food . This was our fourth trip to Costa Rica and Playa Flamingo was by far the best town to stay with its local blues fest , rodeo and late febuary Mardi Gras fest . You get an immediate sense of community that combines the Costa Rica culture yet English is readily spoken as most of the business owners are North American . And finally it is extremely safe to walk around the town day or night ."
