  • Perfect location, beautiful condo

"The ocean views from the master bedroom and living room verandahs are incredible. The condo is large, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We walked into town daily, a bit of a hike, but taxi's are easily attainable. The restaurants in Tamarindo are quite good, eclectic, always something for everyone. Lots to do: white water rafting, scuba, fishing, surfing, zip lining I highly recommend this location."

  • Wonderful family stay!

"We traveled with 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 baby—and the villa was absolutely perfect for all of us. My 3-year-old son loved swimming in the pool (as did the adults) and we all enjoyed lounging poolside with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We also managed to see a few monkeys and iguanas hanging in the trees above us. The grounds were immaculately kept, with friendly staff around each day and at the front gate. We always felt completely safe on the grounds and in the surrounding neighborhood. (The pizza shop and market across and up the street, respectively, are both great). The kitchen in the villa is just perfect for preparing meals (with views of the pool and THE OCEAN). The living room is comfortable enough and lovely with the sliding door open, with or without the screen shut (we didn't have any mosquitos in early December). But the very best feature of the villa, which I still dream of and miss terribly, is the huge balcony with an unobstructed view of the ocean. Oh my gosh: paradise. There's no other way to put it. Sipping coffee out there in the rocking chairs in the morning or watching the sunset out there in the evening—or taking a midday siesta, it was the highlight of our entire stay enjoying that space. The location of the villa was just perfect for our needs. During low tide we explored in the tide pools out front and took long walks in either direction on the beach. A 5 minute walk to the south is a great beach for hanging out at low tide, where my husband surfed. My son loved playing in the river at low tide. We rented a car for the week and took a short drive to Tamarindo every day for dinner, and once for breakfast, and it was super easy and convenient. My only complaints are very small things that would never get in the way of me referring this villa to friends or coming back: There were no coffee filters, which was just a really small inconvenience when we didn't notice the first morning; there were plenty at the nearby market. The beach umbrella and chair available weren't in great shape, which actually wouldn't have mattered a bit except that we were counting on them for beach days with a small baby. There was some confusion with the key for the villa vs. the key for the gate to the beach access, which was potentially just a misunderstanding (we were told there were two sets of house keys, not that only one actually opened the house door) but ended up causing me getting locked out alone in the rain with a baby—oops."

  • Perfect house for a surf vacation

"Casa Veranera served as the perfect house for a surf trip to Playa Grande. Short walk to the surf and restaurants. The pool was perfect for post surf lounging."
