  • An absolute dream

"We can't say enough good things about this incredible place. We spent two weeks traveling around Costa Rica for our honeymoon, and our nights here were our favorite. When we arrived, the driver who dropped us off helped us with our bags and the view stopped him in his tracks. His job for years and years has been driving tourists around to fancy places, and he said, "I've never seen a place like this before." That's how unique it is. The home, the pool, the views - beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. We only left the property once - to go to the soda down the hill (the garlic fish and the smoothies were so good) and to walk about 15 minutes down the street to the Valle Verde mini-mart (they take all credit cards, even Discover) to buy some groceries so we wouldn't have to leave again. (We didn't have a rental car and this walk was totally doable.) We spent our days hanging out by the pool, swimming and taking in the view. As Midwesterners who don't get to see mountains very often, we never got tired of just looking around. We also had massages from Fiorenzo at the house, and he was amazing! Michael and Daryl were so thorough and thoughtful in their pre-trip communication: prior to our stay, they sent us a very well put-together info pack, and responded quickly via email to the few additional questions we had. They thought of every detail: coffee, fresh fruit, etc. Once we were there, Danny and Daniel took such good care of us. They set up a lovely honeymoon flower display for us, and anytime we needed anything, they were right there. Sometimes we'd just hang out and chat and tell stories. We miss them! If you are considering a stay here: DO IT. Honestly, the pictures don't even do it justice. It's even more gorgeous than it looks. If you're traveling around for a little while, come here towards the end of your trip, because it's hard to beat this place! On a more practical level, we were coming from a week of adventures in the rainforest, so all our clothes were damp and dirty when we got there. Being in the dry climate and having access to a washer and dryer was great for us at that point in our trip. Once you're there: even if you're not a morning person, try to get up at 5 am at least once to watch the sun rise and the fog slowly melt away from the hillsides. It's breathtaking. And, of course, the sunsets are spectacular. The only tough thing about this place was going back to a Chicago winter! Thank you, Michael and Daryl, for everything!"

  • Home away from home

"My family of 5 descended upon this oasis like a parched Bedouin lost in the Sahara. After spending a month in a one bedroom condo in Jaco it was nice to spread out a little. The bunk beds were perfect for our twin girls, and their brother claimed the palatial queen sized bed. This was a definite upgrade from the previous month he spent on an air mattress. The master suite hosted a comfortable bed for a king and had its own enormous bathroom with jetted tub. The kitchen was well equipped for feeding our tiny army of competitive eating hopefuls. The WiFi was amazing and by amazing I mean strong and consistent enough to stream Netflix with no cursed "buffering" message mockingly turning circles.......except for the 6 hours one day someone hit the box /pole and knocked out the Internet for all of Tamarindo. The troop of howler monkeys that showed up most early mornings and evenings were a crowd favorite. The pool has an 8' deep end and a little diving block..........not too common these also has a kiddy pool for the wee ones. All in all we had an awesome 6 week stay. Jennifer (the property manager) was super friendly and offered up all sorts of recommendations around town."

  • Jon & Margaret

"We have visited Tamarindo many times and always choose to stay at Pacific Park. The apartment is clean, well equipped and well situated for the beach, shops, restaurants and bars. We feel very safe as the security is excellent. The service we receive from the Property management staff is outstanding - nothing being too much trouble. I can therefore recommend you stay at Pacific Park."

  • Costa Rica Birthday Celebrations

"Celebrating my 40th birthday at Villa Caramar was simply perfect. We rented the house for a week and when it was time to go, it felt like we had just arrived. The house was spacious and comfortable - the AC throughout the house worked perfectly. The WIFI didn't work flawlessly, but Gina worked diligently to restore WIFI service as quickly as possible. While the inside of the house was great, the outside infinity pool and ocean front views were a hit. We spent every day in the pool! The sunsets were priceless. The ocean waves were beautiful and the sound at night was so relaxing. The beach is more rocky than some may prefer, but with the infinity pool steps away, no one wanted to lay on the beach anyway. We had a chef come to the house (PasCam) to prepare our first and last nights' dinners. Pascal and Camille were fantastic and so professional. Highly recommend! One afternoon, Catherine, a massage therapist came to the house and each of us had private massages. It was such a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Lola's Restaurant was one of our hot spots - we would have liked to have tried more local joints, but mid-October is not yet 'in season' so many were closed. I recommend stocking up on food/drink at the Auto Mercado in Tamarindo to avoid hunting down places to eat. We ziplined and went horseback riding with Pura Adventure coordinated through TPV. Gina, the home caretaker, was so fun. Maria, the house keeper, was terrific. Booking the house was easy; finding the house was a bit challenging, but once you get the hang of the area, it's easy peasy. Rent a 4x4 - - you will need it, at least in October. Enjoy Costa Rica at Villa Caramar - you won't regret it."
