  • Wonderful villa, great location, A1 service

"We stayed here for a week and we had a wonderful time. We were 6 adults and 3 children (3 month-old, 6 month-old, 1 year old). Liris, from Coastal Management, offered a great service. She arranged the rental of cribs for the babies. She answered to all my questions and emails rapidly. I had a few questions during our stay and Liris either answered rapidly or sent someone. She suggested to use Xplore for airport shuttle. They were easy to find at the airport. We stopped by a grocery to buy water, snacks (and beer), got our keys at Coastal Management and then arrived at the villa. It was rapid and I strongly suggest it. At our arrival, the 3 bedrooms were fresh and almost cold! The AC in the bedrooms works fine. Of course, it was a little hotter in the living room area because there is only 1 AC machine in the kitchen but we were confortable even when it was 37 degrees outside. Anyways, we were there to travel, go the the beach and enjoy the pool. The pool is small but perfect. The roof top jacuzzi worked well. We enjoyed it in the morning and at night. We bought briquettes for the BBQ at the grocery and we even enjoyed grilled fish on the roof top. My only negatives points was that one of our key set didn't have to right key to open the gate. Fortunately there is always a guard around to open the gate if needed. Also, the dishwasher needs a tune-up. Tamarindo is walking distance, about 15-25 minutes depending on your energy! It is not a paved road so it can be hard with an umbrella-type stroller. Langosta beach is really near. It is OK but a little bit rocky. They is a beach access just after the Capitan Suizo hotel and on your way, you will find a boardshop with Surf rentals and a coffee shop (near Fish and Cheeses). There is a small store for water and other essentials at about 100 meters from the villa. Also a restaurant called Boca. We rented an SUV and explored different beaches. Avellana was my personal favorite. Tamarindo is a great location with a lot of restaurants. A little bit touristic, not so much "typical" but great with children."

  • What more could you ask for?

"The setting is breathtaking. Possibly the best view in the area. Jerry is accommodating, knowledgable and helpful. Rancho Deluxe is absolutely one of nicest places we have stayed anywhere. It's clean, quiet, safe and tucked away from almost everyone and everything except amazing wildlife, fruit trees and songbirds. As green hotel owners ourselves, we certainly appreciate the eco-approach. Simply put; The Rancho Deluxe is everything you come to Costa Rica for and everything you will return for again. See you next year Jerry! -Eamon, Shawna, Quinn and Hazel"

  • Great location, and roomy property

"We stayed 8 days at this house and the place was very spacious, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The living area was also big and comfortable. The only thing it was missing was a proper dining table inside. There is a large one outside with benches but it gets dark and mosquitoes eat you alive. The pool area was nice, private and the garden was luxurious. It was kept clean everyday by the maintenance staff. The beach is few minutes walking. Maritza, the lady who welcomed us, was so generous of her time and services. The little grocery store next to the property is practical but very small and expensive. If you need to do proper groceries, go to Mega Super, 12 km driving distance. We highly recommend having a car to stay in that area. After 6PM, there is a security guard that opens a gate to get into the community."

  • Memories made! Hope to return soon.

"Great fortune became ours as we were referred to and stayed in this beautiful home. Our group of 10 consisted of 2 families (children’s ages 4-16). The home is modern with fun Costa Rican style/details. It is oceanfront, clean, air conditioned, and comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean and tropical gardens surrounding it! All ages enjoyed the beach and grounds. It was a delight to watch our 4 year olds play tirelessly in the terraced patio area and beachfront yard (oh, and they also danced and sang with vigor in the outdoor shower), while the teens enjoyed boogie boarding and learning to surf. The adults adventured via sea kayak (kayak provided) and explored the coast. We were showered with hospitality and incredible service prior to and throughout our stay. The owners promptly and continually answered questions in advance as we prepared to travel. Martin (caretaker) greeted us upon arrival and was available daily as he tidied up the grounds. Carmen (housekeeper) was a delight as she cheerfully and carefully cleaned the home. Babe, the property manager, was an incredible and invaluable resource! She kept regular contact with us (prior to and during our stay) and even made a visit to the home to meet us. She is knowledgeable and connected with the community and local tourism. She coordinated an in-home hair braid/wrap for our teen daughter, an in-home massage, and arranged our Sunset Cruise on the Lazy Lizard, and answered innumerable questions promptly. I cannot say enough about the owners, property manager and staff. They made it a great and memorable first visit to Costa Rica! We’d definitely recommend this property to have the comforts of home while experiencing the local culture that surrounds."
