  • Beautiful one day stunning the next!

"This is by far the most beautiful place I have stayed. The house is stunning and stunning doesn't even express how it really is. Victoria is a wonderful host and there isn't anything she wouldn't do to help you make your holiday an experience you will never forget. Her local knowledge is extremely useful as there are plenty of options for things to do. With a last minute addition to the numbers staying in the house - we were able to fit 5 of us in comfortably (our original numbe 3) As a last minute request Victoria purchased two more beds. Once you open the doors to the wonderful deck there is sufficient room. for everyone to mull around. Lounging in the hammocks and reading was a highlight as you watch the wildlife pass you by. Manzanillo is easy to get to on the bikes that Victoria provides and Puerto Viejo (PV) is about 20 minutes from the property. The bus picks up and drops off at the gate every two hours so careful planning is involved but very accessible. A taxi to PV will cost you about $15 US. Grocery shopping is recommended in PV and buying wine however you can get beer in Manzanillo. There are beautiful beaches; great restaurants and souvenir and some very nice clothing shops. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen; washer and a dry room. Remember you are in the rainforest so it is humid. I highly recommend this house either for a family but a romantic holiday would be ideal. Love it."

  • Nice combination of nature and culture

"Family stayed here at the end of our 3-week vacation so was a nice place to chill out. Enjoyed the local community and the natural surroundings. Plenty of sloths, birds and reptiles; nice to see poison dart frogs in the pond. Would return here in a heartbeat."

  • Beautiful place and great location near Puerto Viejo

"The gardens are lovely, especially when viewed from the comfort of the spacious porch with it's comfortable seating and dining table. Inside the house is attractive and well laid out, with an awesome shower. The beds are comfortable. The house is a short distance up a dirt road from the main coastal road, and about a 5 or maybe 10 minute drive to Puerto Viejo. After trying a few different beaches in the Puerto Viejo area, we decided that the closest beach was the best, so that's a plus also. The only real downside for us was that there were no staples of any kind in the house, things like salt, pepper, sugar, a few spices maybe etc. This is the first time I've seen that in a vacation rental."
