  • Fantastic tropical retreat

"We loved our 5 days at this all wood house. It is away, but walkable to the hubbub of Cahuita town and national park, and very private. There are tropical fruit trees and gorgeous flowers all around. We saw more exotic birds among the palms and hibiscus that Doris has planted than we did in the park. The pool is a perfect way to beat the tropical humidity and heat. Doris is a helpful and unobtrusive host. Good restaurants and bars within walking distance in town too. (There is a 4 hour direct bus from San Jose.) Open stairways might not be good for small children."

  • The house was just as described! Everything was working preety well. The best of all: Feed Mines!

"The house was in good shape and all appliances working well. A supermarket 200 meters away is very convenient, and the beach 300 meters away is really beautiful! Bikes need a bit of mainteinance! The best of our stay was our neighbor and property manager and Tour operator Fred Mines. He made sure every day that we were confortable and with all we needed. He brought us coconuts, bananas, and everything we needed. We highly recomend his tours to Cahuita, the waterfalls, canopy, and more! We will for sure repeat our experience in the same house! A beautiful paradise!"

  • Home Away From Home

"This has been one of our favourite places to stay in Costa Rica. We stayed for only 7 days, and wish we could have stayed longer. Nothing compares to waking up to the sounds of the jungle. The view is absolutely breathtaking and often accompanied with monkeys and tucans - which is always a pleasure! You are right in the heart of the jungle with the comforts of a 5-star hotel and amazingly close to the beach. There are so many activities to do close by! I left feeling a wonderful sense of calm. I can't wait to come back next year!!"

  • Dream Location

"My wife and I stayed for a week and enjoyed the extremes of weather; sunny, mild and an incredible storm. The bungalow was perfect for both. When it was nice we enjoyed the best beach you can imagine right in front, I mean, just out the door, pick a spot in the shade, under the palms to read, then in for a dip, repeat!! When it stormed we walked a short way around the point where the water was calmer to swim and were able to enjoy the bungalow when the power went out because there were candles and a gas stove to make a memorable dinner. It was windy so the fans weren't missed, quite comfortable. Another reviewer mentioned the security and I agree it really is like Fort Knox. We never felt in any way like the neighborhood had anything to worry about, but it was nice to swing the big wooden door closed and not have to worry about even the remotest possibility of any hi-jinks. The other outstanding feature of the property is the property booking and management company. Caribe Sur Rentals and Green Management treated us like we were their most important guests ever and I'm sure that's the way they treat everyone. The bungalow and grounds were clean and presented more like a fine resort than a vacation rental. They are as good at what they do as you could ever expect! We are a couple in our very senior years and some might say are more picky than we used to be, but we couldn't have been happier with the way we were treated and our stay at Robinson's Beach Bungalow."
