  • Beautiful one day stunning the next!

"This is by far the most beautiful place I have stayed. The house is stunning and stunning doesn't even express how it really is. Victoria is a wonderful host and there isn't anything she wouldn't do to help you make your holiday an experience you will never forget. Her local knowledge is extremely useful as there are plenty of options for things to do. With a last minute addition to the numbers staying in the house - we were able to fit 5 of us in comfortably (our original numbe 3) As a last minute request Victoria purchased two more beds. Once you open the doors to the wonderful deck there is sufficient room. for everyone to mull around. Lounging in the hammocks and reading was a highlight as you watch the wildlife pass you by. Manzanillo is easy to get to on the bikes that Victoria provides and Puerto Viejo (PV) is about 20 minutes from the property. The bus picks up and drops off at the gate every two hours so careful planning is involved but very accessible. A taxi to PV will cost you about $15 US. Grocery shopping is recommended in PV and buying wine however you can get beer in Manzanillo. There are beautiful beaches; great restaurants and souvenir and some very nice clothing shops. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen; washer and a dry room. Remember you are in the rainforest so it is humid. I highly recommend this house either for a family but a romantic holiday would be ideal. Love it."

  • Truly Magnificant first time visit to Costa Rica thanks to Amanda at Casa Del Mar

"My boyfriend Vince and I stayed at Casa Del Mar over Thanksgiving in 2016. Manzanillo is a beautiful village and we stayed at the best Casita hands down. The casita is even more beautiful then the pictures! From the adorable layout to the beautiful garden - we could not have asked for a better place to feel comfortable while truly soaking in the Caribbean Costa Rican Culture. The casita was clean, not too small not too big, right off of the black sand beach with so many activities right outside our porch. This was the first vacation I had taken utilizing VRBO and Amanda set the bar extremely high! She helped us with anything you could think of, which we greatly appreciated given this was our first time to Costa Rica. We arrived extremely late in the evening and Amanda stayed and greeted us with a warm welcome. From that point on, I felt a level of comfort that I didn't think I could experience so early in a foreign land. She gave us tips on where to eat, shop and go on adventures. She also facilitated a Private Hike of which I could tell stories for a lifetime from. Tino was the professional guide that Amanda knew and he spoiled us with a true Jungle Adventure. Then Amanda also facilitated a zip lining adventure through a wonderful organization. Both experiences were unforgettable! Thank you AMANDA! We were also surrounded by so many natural resources through Amanda's garden - which was a gift in itself. I hope to visit this beautiful piece of heaven on earth and see Amanda again - she is truly a wonderful person that Vince and I were honored to meet. Thank you for a TRIP OF A LIFETIME!"

  • A Dream Vacation Home

"I spent 2 weeks in Casa Kenia and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house was lovely, the pool was great, and the caretaker was the best. This is an open air property with birds occasionally flying through the living area. The grounds are well maintained and the flowers are quite lovely. This was a girlfriend experience and we never felt any anxiety over the surroundings. We felt quite safe the entire time. It is a short walk to the beach (Playa Negra) and you can hear the waves from the house. After a day trip to tour the nearby park or the animal rescue center, the pool was a pleasant relief. The pictures of the property are accurate but do not quite do it justice. You really have to see this house to appreciate it. If you like the open air experience and beautifully landscaped yard, this is the place for you."
