  • Magic on the Osa Peninsula

"We loved our time at Casa Sonrisa! Because this particular house sits back a bit on the hill, I think we saw even more wildlife than those closer to the beach although the view of the Golfo Dulce was beautiful too. Case Sonrisa backs up to an area that could almost be considered a monkey playground! We saw 4 types of monkeys and were given an especially funny show by the spider monkeys! The house was very comfortable and we were thankful that William was able to provide an extra mattress and mosquito net for one of our kids. The kitchen was beautifully outfitted with everything needed for a 4 day stay. I am glad that we shopped in town and brought so much food with us from Pavones because the road to Puerto Jimenez was awful and I wouldn't have wanted to drive it any more than needed. The thunder and lightening storms were amazing to watch from the open area living space! We surfed morning and evening sessions and loved that we could just walk to Playa Pan Dulce and then follow trails to other breaks. I got some of my favorite surfing pictures of our whole time in Costa Rica one evening. The houses are fit with radios that can contact the owners, William and several of the local restaurants. This came in especially handy when one of our kids left his insulin pack at Lapa Rios. We were able to call around and locate the pack and then go pick it up right away! We will definitely come back and stay again!"

  • Beautiful beach condo

"My family had a great time at this condo. There were 5 of us spanning three generations and its' three bedrooms were perfect. We really enjoyed the rooftop balcony for listening to the surf. What a relaxing way to spend some time. We used the condo as a base location for exploring the surrounding area. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops in Jaco. Manuel Antonio is about 1.5 hours away. To reach the national park it is an easy drive; also easy to travel for rafting, ziplines and other activities. John and Stephanie are so friendly and were great to work with. Our biggest complaint was the noise from Clarita's and other bars (bad karaoke) that lasted past midnight and early morning roosters."

  • Beautiful peaceful location!

"We had a lovely 10 day stay at this guest house. Beautiful, quiet property close to several beaches, restaurants and natural attractions! Laurice and Dennis were very helpful and attentive with any questions we had. Had a great stay, would recommend! :)"

  • Heaven on Earth

"The word paradise only touches on describing this magical place. This breezy house of mahogany, awash with the scent of tropical flowers, this is the stuff dreams are made of. The abundant sunshine, the private beach just steps away, the chatter of wild parakeets that wake you in the morning, the breathtaking sunsets to wish you a goodnight, the magnificent tropical storms, the overwhelming sense of peace. All this and so much more make this place a true heaven on earth. I stayed for two weeks with my 6 year old son. It was an enchanted journey that we’ll never forget. Alex and Mary were the most gracious of hosts who went over and above to make our stay unforgettable. I can’t recommend this beautiful beach house (or these people) more. This was not a vacation for us but rather a new family tradition!"
