  • Perfect

"If you want complete seclusion, if you want to argue about whether the view is more spectacular in the morning or evening, and if you want a beautiful home that is perfectly equipped to enjoy everything Costa Rica has to offer then you have found it at Casa de los Suenos. This was our second time staying in this part of Costa Rica. The first time we stayed in Manual Antonio but we didn't feel we were experiencing everything Costa Rica had to offer. We decided on Dominical because it has a great vibe, very young and fun with neat restaurants and close to everything. Also when you go to the local beaches or hikes the majority of the people there are locals which to us is much better than being surrounded by tourists. So we knew Dominical was the spot and then by chance we discovered Tracy oasis in the jungle. I will challenge you to find a better location anywhere to completely unwind. From the home all you see is the rain forest and the Pacific ocean. Not another home, not a road, not a light. Imagine having a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in evening when all you hear are the sounds of the rain forest or while you sitting you see Toucans fly by. You can't help but be relaxed. When you have a shower and all you see is rain forest you just smile and de-stress. The house is, here comes that word again, perfect. You won't spend much time inside but two of the bedrooms have spectacular views and everyone has privacy. The home has everything you need to cook that fresh fish that you just bought from the fish merchant at the end of the road. The home has everything you need for a road trip to the beach for the day, beach chairs, boogie boards, a cooler, just like you would have at home. And then there is the location perfect for a day trip into Manual Antonio with its great restaurants and a spectacular quiet beach, Playa Dulce de Vida (go there you will thank me for the recommendation). The starting point for the trail to the Nauyaca Waterfalls is less than 1/2 an hour away and it is truly beautiful and worth the hike and a great place for a swim and a picnic. We also fell in love with Dominical, it is a laid back surfer town with some neat restaurants and funky bars all with a true Costa Rican feel. Lastly there is Tracy, we have rented several homes from VRBO and Tracy stands out head and shoulder above every one else in her commitment to make sure your stay is stress free and you have the PERFECT vacation. We will be back!"

  • Amazing house, great laid back town

"We (family of 5) stayed at the BlueShack between Christmas and New Years this past year. The house was great - modern, open, clean, and even larger than it appeared in the pictures. We loved being "in town" and just a short walk from the beach, great places to eat, and even an organic market. The owners were wonderful and even connected us with a great Dominical contact for surfing and activities - Dominical WaveRider. Definitely look them up if you're in Dominical, they had all of us up surfing the first day, we even ended up going back for more lessons and board rentals. The local contact for the house in Dominical was incredibly helpful and just an all round really nice guy. We really liked all the places to eat in town just a short walk from the house - El Pescado Loco tacos, Soda Nanyoa just across the street, and SuRaza. Mono Congo has great vegetarian options and great coffee. The restaurant PorQueNo is a short drive away with great food and an even more amazing view - go early for the sunset. Already planning a return trip, we couldn't recommend BlueShack more!"

  • Wow, this was great!

"My daughter and I did a great deal of research and looked at a variety of places when planning our trip to Costa Rica. We wanted a natural setting near a beach with decent amount of activities. We stayed 4 nights at this lovely jungle hideaway and it was excellent. The place is just like the photos, better even. Very clean, very homey. Adam was great in greeting us and helping us get out bearings. Good references for getting fresh seafood and restaurants. He was very responsive to our needs and we enjoyed having everything we needed in the house when we got there. Great having lots of towels and the ability to do laundry a big plus! The location worked out well for us because it was between Uvita and the very touristy Miguel Antonio. It really had the best of both worlds, convenience and jungle retreat! Go for it, you won't be disappointed if you want a great place to stay."

  • Fantastic!

"We came to Villa del Mar with our two adult children and their spouses. The house was perfect for us. It is an architectural gem...we got there ahead of some of our family and I emailed to them that the photos (as good as they are) did not do the house justice. The setting is amazing...perched on a jungle mountainside. You definitely need 4 wheel drive but it is worth it. We cooked quite a few meals at the house because we did not want to leave the views. One of the best features of this property is the concierge that attends to whatever you need. Katherine arranged our transfer from the airport, brought a 4 wheel drive up to the house for us to rent, and answered question after question about things to do and places to visit. We felt we had a local friend to help us with the best vacation possible."
