  • If your going to Jaco this is the place to stay

"Our extended family of eight stayed in two Bahia Encantada penthouses. To start with Stephanie and John are a delight! The condos are super clean and updated. The interiors are nicely furnished. The complex is well maintained and the pool is spotless and just beautiful with several areas to swim in of different depths. There is even a separate children's pool and swim up bar area that makes for the perfect picnic spot. John and Stephanie let you know from the start that they are there to help make your stay wonderful and they mean it. My daughter hurt her ear canyoneering at a prior location and John and Stephanie drove us to a pharmacy and got her the proper care she needed and then kept checking that she was okay. The beach area is beautiful and fun to watch surfers and search for shells. The waves are too rough for swimming or children, but that's okay because the pool is great."

  • Great value for the money

"Very nice house, very clean, and reasonably close to the beach (~ 10 mins walk); also, secure with locked gates and a guard on duty at night. There was a grocery store and plenty of good restaurants within 5-10 mins walk as well. Jeannette, the manager, was EXTREMELY helpful, providing us with excellent advice on what to see and which tours to book after hearing our timeline and interests; she also made reservations on our behalf, so that we just had to show up at the tour offices and pay for the tours. House was pretty well equipped; it did have A/C in the bedrooms, and ceiling fans in all the rooms, though it lacked things like a hair dryer/shampoo, and was fairly minimal on kitchen supplies (there was salt, sugar and cooking oil, but not much else). Also, there's a real nice swimming pool right by the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will probably come back in a couple of years."

  • Great Accommodations in Costa Rica!

"Our family of three including one teenager, spent a wonderful week at this property. We were a bit leery to book with some of the reviews we read, but glad we went with the majority of the reviews and gave this property a try! It far exceeded our expectations! But here are a few specifics: 1.) Patri, the property manager, is a HUGE plus for travellers and this property. We had some "issues" getting to CR, and she was a tremendous help to get these straightened out. She could help us with some local arrangements, and saved us from what could have been a "rough" start on our vacation. Then she helped a lot with making arrangements for ziplines, ATV tours, directions, restaurant recommendations, anything and everything! She is worth booking this home for just for her knowledge and abilities! 2.) The property. Like everyone says "it is not the Ritz". No kidding, look at the rate. Regardless though, it is clean, everything functions, the pool was great, the air conditioning worked perfect, the kitchen was nice, the grounds well kept up, and the beds comfortable. I travel for a living and have been in 5-star hotels that can't claim all of that! 3.) Comments of highway noise. The main highway is 100 yards (330M) from the home. Sometimes during the day the traffic is busy and the noise level higher. At night, a lot less traffic and minimal noise. I personally did not lose any sleep over it (literally) and don't feel it's that big of a deal. Sitting in the pool or on the back terrace during the day, I never thought about it either. If you're a super light sleeper or use to zero noise, you might find it a factor. 4.) The beach. It's not the white sand of tourist brochures. The water is brown from the estuary. But it is clean and many were out there swimming. The sound at night was perfect, and the almond trees in back attract the macaws at 7am. All-in-all, it was a great trip and an excellent location . We went to Manuel Antonio Park (1.5 hr drive), Zipline 15 minutes, great beaches 15 minutes away, large grocery store 20 minutes, National Park 5 minutes away. Driving time to SJO Airport was about 90 minutes and directions were easy."

  • An unforgettable family vacation

"We stayed at Casa Savannah for 10 nights in April 2016 and had a truly amazing family vacation. We travelled with another family and there was plenty of room in the house for everyone. The home was spacious, comfortable, and decorated in Central/South American flare which was ideal for the country and location. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the Property Manager waiting for us. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. The pool on the property is spectacular, large, with lots of loungers and shady areas. There were days when we spent hours just beside the pool, which was our kids favourite place to be. To top it off we had red scarlet macaws flying in pairs across the pool and landing in the surrounding trees eating nuts. Just like paradise! The property management office is also on the pool grounds and it was almost always staffed. We would go there often to ask about excursions, arrange catering, rent surfboards or boogie boards, or even just to chat. Property management is extremely friendly and did everything to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The house is also just a 10 minute drive from downtown Jaco which has everything you need - grocery stores, lots of restaurants of every flavour, cafes, ice cream shops, and souvenir stores. We would go to town daily for gelato at the local Marsican Artisan Gelato shop. The house has ample parking space and we had a car rented for our entire stay which we used to make daytrips. There is plenty to do within just a 1 hour or so radius from the house, so we were able to explore much of the coast and surrounding area without having to go elsewhere overnight or spend hours in the car. In all, an incredible vacation and we are already dreaming of going back!"
