  • Beautiful Home...Amazing Community...Insane Sunsets...Super Surf!!

"I have nothing but good things to say about this home! Spacious, cozy, clean, and a minute's walk to the beach and to the pool. The rooftop terrace was the perfect place for sun gazing, sunsets, cocktails and surf check. The expansive and well stocked kitchen made for the perfect family dinners and breakfasts after a super fun surf! The community has a sweet vibe and everyone we met were happy and friendly. There is 24 hour security in a gated community - normally I wouldn't stay in a gated community but this one has most definitely changed my perception. Thanks Ingrid and Aaron!!"

  • Wonderful Stay

"Our family of six had an incredible time staying here at Villa Manuel Antonio! Let me first say that while searching, I messaged the owner, Laurent, and asked him about public transportation availability and ease as one of my sons is on crutches. Laurent called me to let me know that the transportation was fine, but that there were stairs to our floor since we were looking at the lowest level with a small yard for my children to run around in and search for lizards. He was concerned that my son would not be able to do the stairs and wanted to let me know before I booked the villa. He sent me pictures that he took of the stairs and we decided my son would be fine and continued with our booking. It was nice to see that Laurent's concern was for our comfort and enjoyment, even at the risk of us looking elsewhere if we felt our son would have difficulty on the stairs. So, back to the review... Our villa was located on the lowest level with a small yard and a view of the Pacific and the national park. The two bedrooms have king beds and there is a fold out couch in the living room. The bathrooms are large and the villa is a great place to stay. The kitchen comes with all the hardware for preparing meals yourself. The pool also has a nice view and our kids enjoyed swimming in it. During the morning it is in the sunshine, but after lunch it begins to get some shade to offer respite from the heat of the day. Our kids enjoyed the pool everyday. We also saw monkeys, a sloth, numerous birds and some colorful lizards while at the villa. The location is phenomenal. Perched on a hilltop but only steps to the bus that runs to beaches and the park in one direction, and Quepos in the other. There is no need to rent a car, just take the bus. Taxis were also easy to hail. There are also restaurants nearby (try the Falafel Bar), as well as a Bank of Costa Rica, Economy Car Rental and a small convenience store. There was not a lot of walking to these places so it was perfect for our son. It really is an ideal location for getting to wherever you need to go. As for Laurent, he stays on the property which is such a big help for finding whatever you need. He arranges tours and transportation to San Jose or wherever. He can point you in the right direction for food, groceries or any other needs. He is very friendly and a delight to talk with. It was our pleasure to meet him. We highly recommend booking your stay with Villa Manuel Antonio. You won't regret it!"

  • Costa Rica Getaway

"We rented Casa Pura Vida for Spring Break with our 3 adult children and had a great time. The house and its surrounding grounds were beautiful and extremely well kept. We saw monkeys, toucans and lots of cool iguanas. The swimming pool had a really great cabana over it with hammocks to relax in. That was probably the best part of the house. My husband and I stayed in the little cabina and absolutely loved the outdoor bathroom and shower. It was so unique. I would highly recommend Casa Pura Vida to anyone who is looking for privacy and also being close to restaurants and shopping."

  • A fantastic Villa with all of the amenities!

"My wife and I booked this villa for our first vacation in Costa Rica. Additionally, our grown sons and their partners joined us. Let me say that we found the villa to be fantastic in every way! There are three ample bedrooms so that everyone has their own space. Every bedroom has sliders out to the villa-length deck. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom with double sinks and a huge jetted tub and separate shower. The kitchen/living room (great room) is very large allowing space for reading, sitting, cooking, or other indoor activities. But who wants to be indoors when the view from the deck is of the ocean and the mainland beyond. You can watch the ferry to the mainland go back and forth throughout the day. You could also see the clouds that hover over the section called the cloud forest on the mainland side. And if you want, and I did, watch all of the activity while standing in the pool on the deck. A wonderful way to cool down in a very private setting. Caroline, the property concierge, was extremely helpful in scheduling anything we needed. On two mornings, she scheduled a girls, then a boys morning of massages in-villa for us all. She and her husband, Michael, run a great little restaurant down at the beach on this compound that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very good! Overall, Costa Rica has so much to offer, you can’t see it all in one trip. We made it a point to do all of the activities we could on the Nicoya Peninsula (where this villa is located) on this trip, such as the great beaches in Samara and to stay at other places on the mainland for future trips to see other attractions. We did take the car on the ferry (ferry landing very close by) and drove to the Monteverde area. We stayed overnight at Pension Santa Elena for short money to take in the Cloud Forest, Monteverdi Coffee tour and other sights. The property was very clean and well maintained and the only down note was that the air conditioning unit in one bedroom did not work and took 4 days to get it looked at and repaired. With the weather at 93 degrees every day, it was a slight inconvenience to not have it, but it did not affect my extremely positive review. So, if you are most interested in activities on the Nicoya Peninsula and want a fantastic place to stay with the utmost in privacy, this Villa will deliver!"
