  • Just perfect!!

"I put together a wellness retreat for 12 of us. This estate was just perfect for us!!...We started our morning with a run on the beach, then yoga right on the yoga platform, followed by a delicious protein shake that we made in the large, clean kitchen. We relaxed throughout the day with massages on the yoga platform, or shopping in the village, or exploring the land (ATV tour, cliffs, etc.). The evening was spent with a pilates workout, a sunset drink on the beach, and family style dinner around the large beautiful table. Anna and her staff were great and we all had the trip of a lifetime. We will be back!"

  • Great getaway!

"My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Casa Bambu and had a great time! We stayed in mid-October and had so much fun exploring the jungle and taking in all of the wildlife. The house is a private, romantic spot for two located right in the middle of lush rainforest. We loved waking up to the incredible view of Playa Ballena and to tucans feasting on the trees outside our window. The house phone was an added bonus and really helped us navigate Uvita and the surrounding areas. The property managers were extremely accommodating, as well, and were available to answer any questions we had. Our stay was a very fun, adventurous way to start our marriage!"

  • An experience of a lifetime!!

"I stayed at the property Casa Yin Yang with my family and we brought a friend long wanting to visit Costa Rica for a surf trip and it was absolutely beautiful! The house was unbelieveable, more than we expected. It was so private and right on the beautiful beach.A true Costa Rican home with all the upgrades. The outdoor living space was the best and we spent most of our time outside. The pool was great, the rooms were large and the craftsmanship of the home was just beautiful, the pics didn't do the home justice. Marta (the concierge) was there for our every need. The boys only surfed a bit because the week we went there was a pretty big swell but we did alot of other things such a renting quads to visit all around town and anywhere else we could go (and did) ,ziplining, hiking, and sight seeing. We had a blast and I don't think there is a better place to stay than this property. There are very few in this location that we found that are even in this league and HIGHLY recommend it. Thanks Stefan, Marta, our cleaning girls and the rest of the great staff that watched out for us! There is great security here and they do keep an eye out for you."

  • Our Shangri-La

"A family group of five adults, we were thrilled with our week-long Villa La Vista experience. The Villa is beautiful, and we so enjoyed hearing the comforting sounds of the ocean surf at all times of day. We happily spread out into the three spacious bedrooms (one in a separate apartment), each with its private ocean-view patio, and air-conditioning. We gathered in the main living area to enjoy the comfy chairs and sofa for reading and wifi time, or we moved on to the ocean-view patio, which everyone sought out from dawn ‘til dusk. That’s where we watched a sloth hanging out for twenty-four hours on a nearby tree; and that’s where the squirrel and white-faced monkeys visited us. Squirrel monkeys are not to be missed—they play like kittens! The kitchen was convenient and well-equipped, although we mainly prepared breakfast and lunch, as eating out was fun at the many nearby restaurants which we could easily walk to. With vegetarians in our group, we loved Café Milagro, which turned into one of our favorite spots for an occasional breakfast as well as dinner. Fred’s provided a fabulous view of the spectacular sunsets. The Villa, which is located on a dirt road, is very quiet and private—so private that it was possible to skinny dip in our own “plunge pool.” The pool is beautifully surrounded by flowering plants such as the magnificent hanging “lobster claw,” and it was our go-to spot for a fast refresher whenever we got too warm, for instance when we had made the walk back up the hill after a swim in the ocean. The ocean is just ten minutes down the road from the Villa; we couldn’t believe what felt like our own private white sand beach, with excellent surf! We were also thrilled to find trees lining the beach, so that we didn’t have to stay in the sun. Getting set up to stay at the Villa was made very easy by its owner, Nancy, who provided fast feedback and excellent information—everything one could want. The concierge, Geralyn, couldn’t have been more helpful, before and during our visit, from setting up tours to providing a birthday cake to calling cabs when our Spanish was insufficient. We were also grateful for the excellent attentions of the housekeeper, Lidette, and the groundskeeper, Chino. It was so very nice not to have to do laundry (unless we preferred to do it ourselves) and occasionally to have fresh sheets. Our only complaint? We should have stayed longer - and we will next year!"
