  • Like your staying in someone's personnal home

"That's because you are!!! This fact was confirmed by our very endearing Owner, Faith, who we met as we were checking in. The location, the staff, the residence are all first rate. My wife and I enjoy cooking and considering the market is within walking distance and the kitchen has everything a couple of foodies would want makes it ideal. The residence is quite spacious for a vacation condo. The pictures of the residence, the grounds, and amenities are accurate, so what you see is what you get. We can not say enough good things about the local Costa Rican people. They are fabulous. Costa Rico has some incredible excursions and it cannot be more convenient (Most tours pick you up and drop you off at your residence). A few minor fusses. The villas are close to a club so noise from this Costa Rican club (principally very loud and passionate singers from folks who frankly can't sing a lick - I challenge you to find an award winning singer from Costa Rico ) caused some minor initial sleep issues a few nights. The secluded hot-tub was sadly out of service and the soaking pools are lower in elevation with respect to the top of the fence line so you can't watch the sunsets from the pool. There is also an uncompleted development next door that compromises the panoramic ocean views. These are minor observations because the overall experience was wonderful. The food, the people, Croc's casino, tours/excursions, the natural beauty of the peninsula were all 5 star. Don't rent a car. Use Dan Jenkins for roundtrip service to the San Jose airport and taxi's for the short trips. Its a good walking town and your close to where the action is. God Bless. Jim"

  • Stunning home by the sea and exceptional service

"A very beautiful house you have and thank you for the opportunity to rent it and stay there for our Jaco Vacation. The house is in such a good location! It's only a few steps out of the front gate and you are on the beach. Getting in and out of the center of Jaco where all of the nightlife and shopping is located, is literally only 3-4 minutes in a taxi. The housekeeper kept the place clean the whole time we were there and the security guard at night time was really nice. We were assigned concierge service through Jaco VIP and were very well taken care of during our stay. The concierges always checked on us and made sure we had what we needed, got out on time to our tours and made sure we know where to go and not to go. The help and advise they gave us was priceless and looking back, I could not imagine everything on this trip going as smooth as it did without them. This was a great vacation and great experience from the start to the end."

  • Amazing Property!!

"We stayed at Bahia Encantada from July 29th to August 6th. Our unit "4i" was a three bedroom/3 bath unit with a roof top deck. The local grocery store, Maxi Pali, was within walking distance. But if you are picking up a lot of groceries you will probably need to take a cab ride back which happens to be inexpensive. There are several other smaller grocery stores in town. The unit also has a nice washer and dryer so you can pack lighter and just wash your clothes. The property has 24 hour security both at the gate and front of the unit. We never felt uncomfortable at the unit and frequently would walk to town for dinner and shopping. Jaco has amazing restaurants!! Our favorites Christina's (literally right up the street), Taco Joint and Side Street Bistro. Fun stores in town include Tico Pod and Fruity Monkey Poop. Although we were visiting at the beginning of the ISA world surf championships we never saw a lot of people down at this end of the beach. There is a little tidal river to the right of the property down the beach. Cross at low tide and you will think you are lost on a little island. We would swim over off that side of the beach as the drop off of the beach is less making the waves smaller. Although the tide will still pull you. We rented a car one day to go to Manuel Antonio. Pretty cheap. We got a 6 passenger SUV for $97.00 for 24 hours. Every other tour we did we arranged for pick up. We did a waterfall tour close to Bahia Encantada with a super nice host named Christian. He picked us up at Bahia and drove up to the hills up off 34. We had the best time. We also did a zip lining tour with Los Suenos tours which was also so fun. They also picked us up. Willy and the staff at Lost Beach Vacations made renting this property and arranging our tours extremely easy. Great people. Cannot wait to visit again. Pura Vida!!"
