  • Awesome place for family or group of travelers to stay!

"As a group of seven young professionals we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Kalani. Nicole (the property manager) was incredibly helpful setting up everything we needed on the trip including transportation and a zip-line canopy tour. The house had everything we needed, and although the pool isn't huge, it's perfect to cool off in during the humid afternoons. The upstairs balcony is the perfect place to catch a sunset, or watch the monkeys in the morning. I would recommend Casa Kalani to anyone who wants a great stay in Manuel Antonio! -Will Mattingly"

  • An Oasis in Paradise

"Our family had an absolutely wonderful time staying in this lovely home. It truly exceeded every expectation. The house is in a gated community only 400 meters walk to the beach down a quiet dirt road. There is a community pool close by as well as your own private pool in the backyard. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a small market for necessities. Otherwise this area is blissfully free of any tourist traps. The beach itself is palm tree lined, goes on for miles in either direction, gently sloping and has the warmest dark sand great for shelling and sand dollar hunting (not to mention gorgeous sunsets) with hardly another person in sight. Now the house- wow! Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and throughout. So handy having a locking safe to store items and feel fully safe, as well as the decorative iron on the doors and windows for added security. Although I must say we felt completely safe in the community and every neighbor we met was so welcoming. The backyard oasis had several areas for relaxing by the pool and enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails. If I have any complaints it's that the backyard is so comfortable we had a hard time leaving it to head to the beach! And an even harder time heading home. We'd definitely rent this home again, the owner was always available by email to answer any questions, but otherwise left us alone to enjoy paradise!"

  • wonderful property, a hidden gem with animals, birds, waterfalls, and very helpful staff

"We started out our first trip to Costa Rica at this house- 4 adults and two granddaughters 6 and 9. We and they loved the house, waking up in the deep forest with animal and birds and their sounds. Peter gave us a great tour of the property ending at the spectacular waterfalls and a swim for everyone- Pura Vida happened immediately. We enjoyed the property so much we didn't venture out to the National Park until our third day. It was super helpful to have Peter meet us at the Super Compro (supermarket in Quepos) and lead us up to the property- after that we had it down and it was easy. Got used to driving on the potholed Costa Rican dirt roads but it was well maintained and no challenge. Our only complaint (from all the group) is that we didn't book enough time there, we liked it so much. Thanks to all who run the house and make it such a great experience."

  • Highly recommended!

"This is a beautiful house. It's located about 15 miles or so south of Jaco. It is located in a very secure gated community at Bejuco Beach. Not too much going on in Bejuco Beach itself, but there is a nice, very quiet beach there. One day while walking to the beach a large group of scarlet macaws flew down and landed in a tree near us. They are so cool. That was a treat! The house had everything you need for cooking, washer, dryer, and was very clean and well maintained. Each bedroom had it's own private bath. The AC worked great! We couldn't get the wifi to work. It would say it was connected, but we couldn't access the internet. Not too big a deal, my phone worked great there so we could check emails using that. The house is not too far a drive from Jaco where there are many restaurants and shops. There are also several restaurants located on the road between Bejuco Beach and Jaco that are right on the water. We visited many. It is also a close drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. I highly recommend this park. We saw many animals, and the monkeys are all over the beach. The beaches there are spectacular!"
