  • Beautiful house!

"We loved Casa Sophia. I was there with my husband, our 10 month old and my in laws. The layout of the house is great (especially if you have young children or are with older adults). It's absolutely beautiful in person (and spotless). The pool and pool deck were very nice. We had daily visits from the monkeys, and there was a sloth outside of the living room on one of the trees as well. Aside from this being a wonderful place to stay, Vanessa from Manuel Antonio Properties was fantastic to work with from before we arrived to during our stay. She was available for any questions, she helped with airport transportation, beach and restaurant recommendations, etc. I highly recommend Casa Sophia and Manuel Antonio Properties. We will definitely be back!"

  • We found our "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Carolina. The house was a perfect fit for our family of eight with three little ones. It was immaculately maintained and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Elisabeth, the house keeper, was wonderful! She made the best scrambled eggs I have ever had and is a professional origamist. She made the most creative paper designs on the end of every toilet paper roll in the house every day. Saul and Willie did a great job of coordinating our adventures and giving us great tips on beaches and restaurants. This was better than a 5 star luxury hotel or resort, as you had all the services and amenities of a resort but you had the privacy of having it all to yourself. We always felt very safe with 24 hour security and the gated driveway. The best part for me was the BBQ area, I was able to make the best cheeseburgers on the outside grill in the outside kitchen and we enjoyed them as we watched the sun sink into the Pacific from the infinity pool. It became known as "Cheeseburger in Paradise" time. Casa Carolina should be on everyone's bucket list."

  • Casa de Frutas

"Paradise! Amazing place!! Casa de Frutas is the most beautiful home with stunning views and impeccable attention to detail. The exquisite furnishings make you feel as if you stepped on a movie set on your own private island without the lights camera action! Pure luxury, so inviting, warm and relaxing. The views are beyond anything I can describe; prettiest place on earth may be the best way to describe Casa de Frutas at Tulemar. From the moment we arrived, we were transformed into another place and time. The service team welcomed us with open arms, and took great care to make our visit very special. Sunshine warmed our skin as we enjoyed the beautiful rain forest, warm silver sand private beaches, hiking trails and sunsets that enchanted us to stop and enjoy the many wonders of a more relaxed time and place. We saw monkeys play, beautiful birds soar above the trees, colorful butterflies and soaked our skin in the warm water of the pacific! Such a peaceful place! Highly recommend! Only suggestion; stay as long as you can as this place is heaven on earth and once there you will never want to leave!"

  • Amazing views, spectacular condo!

"This is an amazing property. The first thing to mention is the stunning ocean views from the family room and each of the three bedrooms. The location will never disappoint. The condo was well equipped and the owners Kerwin and Lisa were very responsive when setting up the reservations and answered all questions. There is a local manager Willy who will help with arranging any tours you want to enjoy, such as fishing etc. We caught fish one day (4 Spanish Mackerel) and brought it to a local restaurant (La Luna) for their preparation. They made ceviche with it and also grilled the rest. It was the best meal we had there. Just amazing and La Luna has a great location with views. There was plenty of fish left which we prepared in the condo for tacos the next evening. We had a party of eight and the condo was plenty big for us all. The only problem we had was water pressure at times, but whenever we reported it, it was fixed after a few minutes. I would easily stay here again as it is one of the most beautiful locations for a hotel I ever stayed at. Oh and concerning wildlife, we saw a couple monkeys and sloths near the hotel and during our 5 minute walk downhill to the local beach. It was a great little beach, but the water wasn't too clear for snorkeling, although I saw some fish near the rocks, but as mentioned clarity is lacking there. Take a trip 30 mins south to Dominical and head inland to the Nauyaca waterfalls. You can hike in or take horseback. It is worth it. Horseback ride is only $70 US per person and includes a breakfast and lunch midway in both directions. Horses were very nice and well kept. We didn't see too much wildlife on that trip, but if you head into Manuel Antonio State Park, you will see plenty there. We saw 3 monkey types, a coati, iquanas, peccary, vine snake and pesky raccoons that will snatch your food from your bags right next to you. This time of year (with locals on vacation too) the park is very busy and be prepared to be around some crowds. This place will not disappoint! Last comment, the restaurant at the hotel is good, but is a bit pricey. Better options are out and about nearby concerning pricing."
