  • Great views and location, very comfortable.

"We spent two nights in Manuel Antonio and I don't think we could've found a better place to stay, especially for the price. The unit was very clean and the views were fantastic. The internet worked great as well as everything else. The first morning we woke up to toucans in the trees out front and later that day there was an iguana on the porch. The bed was very comfortable and the concierge was friendly and helpful. We had a rental car and drove down to the beach and to the national park. It would be possible to walk but it's a pretty hilly walk back up from the beach. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend."

  • Highly recommended, beautiful house in an ideal location

"Mandel's home exceeded expectations. It is spacious, clean, and secure with well-functioning AC in every room and a nice pool area for lounging, complete with waterfall. From the patio, we watched sunsets, monkeys eating berries in a nearby tree, and macaws fly by. Three of the four bedrooms are located in a separate wing connected to the main house by a bridge. We felt the layout offered another element of privacy and a mini-resort feel. The home is centrally located in Manuel Antonio and walkable to many restaurants. Mandel was attentive and a pleasure to book with."

  • Amazing House!

"This house was perfect for our family of 5. The view is worth the walk. The caretaker, Bismark, was so kind and helpful. It's comforting that he lives very close to the house. Beds were nice; kitchen was user friendly. The outside shower was perfect. House was nicely stocked with games, books, and useful picture cards for local animals. We saw tons of animals from the decks - monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, etc. We enjoyed Bismark's dogs which hung out and made things feel like home. We had a 4x4 and were able to drive down to a beach just below the house (you can park on the beach). House had a small cooler, a few beach chairs and great beach towels. There was a second beach a short drive or walk below the house where you can pay someone a small amount to watch your car while you enjoy the beach. We saw a few sloths here and we rented snorkel gear at this beach. (Snorkeling was just ok here and one of my kids stepped on a sea urchin, but that has nothing to do with the house review). Bottom line, you cannot go wrong with this place. It's in a little community of other houses where you feel close to people (which is sometimes comforting in a foreign country), but it is also private. It was hot as fire while we were there, but there were several fans around the house. It's the ULTIMATE coffee or wine on the deck kind of place. I wish I was there right now!"

  • This is the one

"Our family just returned home from a wonderful week long stay at the Bali House. The house is larger and more beautiful in person than the photos convey. All 5 of the suites are complete masters with their own decks and ample space. Fernando and the staff clearly love the house and grounds and they took excellent care of us. Tito Borge catering prepared 8 meals for us, and Alejandro and Tito are both excellent chefs. Being able to just relax and stay in our swimming suits for a meal removed all of the stress of meal preparation and cleanup or even going out. When we did go out for a few meals though, it was a great experience. Many excellent restaurants are within walking distance - though after trekking up the steep and slippery street, we realized that its worth a few dollars for cabs in spite of the short distance. The beach is beautiful and is just a short walk on a private sidewalk through the beautiful jungle gardens. We spent most mornings in the ocean and most afternoons in the pool. It rained for a short period every day, but the rain was always pleasant when it arrived, and the house is perfectly suited to enjoy even the occasional heavy thunderstorm. A troop of monkeys arrived like clockwork each morning and again in the evening, and the kids had named each of them by the end of the trip. Truly a 5 star experience. Thanks to Peter and Fernando, and all who made it so great!"
