Casa de Frutas
"Paradise! Amazing place!! Casa de Frutas is the most beautiful home with stunning views and impeccable attention to detail. The exquisite furnishings make you feel as if you stepped on a movie set on your own private island without the lights camera action! Pure luxury, so inviting, warm and relaxing. The views are beyond anything I can describe; prettiest place on earth may be the best way to describe Casa de Frutas at Tulemar. From the moment we arrived, we were transformed into another place and time. The service team welcomed us with open arms, and took great care to make our visit very special. Sunshine warmed our skin as we enjoyed the beautiful rain forest, warm silver sand private beaches, hiking trails and sunsets that enchanted us to stop and enjoy the many wonders of a more relaxed time and place. We saw monkeys play, beautiful birds soar above the trees, colorful butterflies and soaked our skin in the warm water of the pacific! Such a peaceful place! Highly recommend! Only suggestion; stay as long as you can as this place is heaven on earth and once there you will never want to leave!"

"Our family of six had an incredible time staying here at Villa Manuel Antonio!
Let me first say that while searching, I messaged the owner, Laurent, and asked him about public transportation availability and ease as one of my sons is on crutches. Laurent called me to let me know that the transportation was fine, but that there were stairs to our floor since we were looking at the lowest level with a small yard for my children to run around in and search for lizards. He was concerned that my son would not be able to do the stairs and wanted to let me know before I booked the villa. He sent me pictures that he took of the stairs and we decided my son would be fine and continued with our booking. It was nice to see that Laurent's concern was for our comfort and enjoyment, even at the risk of us looking elsewhere if we felt our son would have difficulty on the stairs.
So, back to the review... Our villa was located on the lowest level with a small yard and a view of the Pacific and the national park. The two bedrooms have king beds and there is a fold out couch in the living room. The bathrooms are large and the villa is a great place to stay. The kitchen comes with all the hardware for preparing meals yourself. The pool also has a nice view and our kids enjoyed swimming in it. During the morning it is in the sunshine, but after lunch it begins to get some shade to offer respite from the heat of the day. Our kids enjoyed the pool everyday. We also saw monkeys, a sloth, numerous birds and some colorful lizards while at the villa.
The location is phenomenal. Perched on a hilltop but only steps to the bus that runs to beaches and the park in one direction, and Quepos in the other. There is no need to rent a car, just take the bus. Taxis were also easy to hail. There are also restaurants nearby (try the Falafel Bar), as well as a Bank of Costa Rica, Economy Car Rental and a small convenience store. There was not a lot of walking to these places so it was perfect for our son. It really is an ideal location for getting to wherever you need to go.
As for Laurent, he stays on the property which is such a big help for finding whatever you need. He arranges tours and transportation to San Jose or wherever. He can point you in the right direction for food, groceries or any other needs. He is very friendly and a delight to talk with. It was our pleasure to meet him.
We highly recommend booking your stay with Villa Manuel Antonio. You won't regret it!"

"Our family of four really enjoyed our stay in the 2 bedroom Dos Palmas Villa. Paula was really helpful with arranging an itinerary and booking activities before we arrived. She and Clark were not home during our stay, but Ellie and her husband were staying on the property. Ellie was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We enjoyed horseback riding with Rancho Tipica don Juan, ziplining with Canopy Safari, and a guided tour of the national park with Pablo. The typical Costa Rican lunches with the horseback riding and ziplining tours were very good. We also enjoyed eating dinners out in Manuel Antonio at El Wagon, Aqua Azul, and Baja Roja. We made breakfast in our condo every morning and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our boys loved playing in the little pool at the resort and cooled off in it every afternoon. Thank you for a great stay!"

"We loved the premises and location. It has all the accommodations of being at home. The view is spectacular and there are multiple sitting areas to enjoy it. The chef was great. We asked that he cook typical Costa Rican food.
All our transportation was arranged for us. We took local taxi service to participate in the Zip lining activity and visitation to the National Park.
We were able to see 3 types of monkeys and saw sloths on 5 different occasions.
I would return and recommend the country and the residence."
