  • Amazing Once in a lifetime vacation and home!

"Fantastic. This house was all that promised and more. We were a group of 15, 13 adults and 2 small kids. It was also 5 separate families, so a very diverse group of friends. The house being 4 floors offered tons of privacy when we wanted it, but also was large enough to accommodate all of us at the table on the 3rd floor for all of our meals. We made full use of the whole house and the amenities provided. Shiona was a dream to work with. She scheduled all of our activities with groups that were not only professional but also very safe. We never once felt like we were with someone who we couldn't trust completely. The house has Lucy the housekeeper who we all felt so comfortable with, and she was there all the time, but you rarely saw her. She did laundry every day even though its only promised twice a week. She handled any thing we ran short of, constantly refilled coffee and sugar, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It was a full service experience. (I didnt want to come home) The house location is right next to a great supermarket, with amazingly friendly staff. We were able to fully cook a traditional thanksgiving meal with everything they had in the store. We watched monkeys from the Tub on the roof most days. Our trips included off the beaten path, canyoning, ziplining, mangrove tour, and National Park tour. The only bad thing I can say is that the mangroves dont have as much wildlife as you might expect. We had hoped to see monkeys and sloths but they dont have much of either due to the particular climate and the daily change it has occuring. But all of our tours came with shuttle service, and usually a meal. We all loved the traditional Costa Rican food. We also never required renting a car since we had shuttles and tour pick ups everywhere we wanted to go. And walked to town for anything else. As an FYI, this home does not have DVD players and only 2 TVs. We didnt mind since we didnt plan on using them much, but the kids were a little disappointed at first. (It was good for them to go without though) All in all a great experience and we would use this company again in a heart beat for a return trip to Costa Rica."

  • Look no further....this is the place to be!

"One word comes to mind-PERFECTION! If I could give this villa 6 stars, I would. My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough. We were a party of 7 and found Casa Grande Vista exceeded our expectations. The listing description was accurate however words do little justice for this little slice of heaven. The view from this villa is purely magical! The entire back end of the villa opens up to an elevated panaramic ocean view. Not to mention the stunning infinity pool that meets the horizon. I had to pinch myself at times. The property and villa was impeccably clean and well maintained. We had all the luxuries of a high end hotel but the privacy of our own villa: beautiful beds and linens, housekeeping, and Shiona, your personal concierge and vacation manager. From start to finish, Shiona will ensure that your stay in Manuel Antonio is a memorable one. She is able to offer suggestions (big or small), make reservations, book tours and help keep you and your group organized. Shiona has a wealth of knowledge and information about the area and is quite simply outstanding! We entered as guests and left feeling like friends. You can make your stay at Casa Grande Vista as busy or as relaxed as you wish. We took advantage of some of the many tours offered through the villa which were incredible and highly recommended. Missing Casa Grande Vista and staff already....We will be back! So what are you waiting for? Do it, you won't be disappointed!"

  • Beautiful Stay, Excellent Service!

"Tulemar is paradise! From the moment we arrive until unfortunately we had to leave, the people and service were first class. We stayed in Casa Mirador and the views everyday took our breath away. Chris, our concierge, was outstanding from arranging transportation from San Jose to meeting us when we arrived. He even came in early the day we left to tell us goodbye. We came here to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Chris arranged all our our tours including a great fishing trip and spa day. He also arranged for Chef Marlon to come to our house (I felt like I was home ) and prepare a surprise 60th dinner for my husband; the food was indescribably delicious. There is not one negative thing I can say about Tulemar and their staff from the housekeepers to those who work the beach bar to the van drivers, WOW! We will absolutely be back. Wildlife was abundant from the monkeys, sloths and the beautiful birds everywhere. I highly recommend this resort, you will not regret one single beautiful day. PURA VIDA!!!! Learn that word because this is paradise."

  • Paradise found at Mirazul

"We read all the wonderful reviews before booking our family trip, therefore our expectations were very high. Tulemar more than exceeded our expectations in every way! Mauricio was a gracious host from literally the moment we arrived. The staff anticipated our every need...and then some. The villa and resort property was more beautiful than the pictures. The sunsets and animals take your breath away. This is truly a world class resort. We have found a new favorite destination, and are looking forward to planning our next visit to Tulemar."
