"Everything was great and wonderful great location smack dab in between Manuel Antonio and quepos. The house was well equipped. Wouldn't have minded a softer mattress it is a decent firm mattress. However we are old and need soft.lol overall experience was very good and we would definitely choose this place again."

  • Amazing stay in the middle of a tropical jungle

"We had a wonderful time at the villa, enjoyed its open concept with all the animal sounds at night, and seeing monkeys and sloths during the day. It is amazingly well equipped, beautifully and comfortably furnished, and really a home away from home (only much better!). While there, I read one of the mysteries written by the original owner, William Deverell and found it very interesting (many of his books and many other books are on a shelf inside the TV cabinet with more in the downstairs bedroom). There were 7 of us staying there, with enough space and privacy for all of us, and even a crib and a high chair for our 15-month-old granddaughter. The pool was refreshing and long enough for swimming short laps. We spent many pleasant hours watching the jungle and the wildlife from its deck. Rebecca and Jacob, the property managers, were extremely kind, helpful, and always available at a few minutes' notice. There is a small store a few steps away, and many good restaurants within walking distance. We especially enjoyed Burritos just around the corner. The beach is a short drive away down the hill. The main part does get a bit crowded and parking is a bit of an issue . Some guys try to stop you driving down trying to make you park much earlier than at the end of the road and charge $5 to guard your vehicle. If you go to Manuel Antonio Park around 8 AM, there is plenty of parking space in the large parking lot at the very end of the road and it costs $4 for the day. A better option is taking the local bus. We visited Manuel Antonio Park ($16) - beautiful beaches, lots of monkeys, sloths, raccoons, koati, and deer- and the Rainmaker Conservation Project ($20) about 30 min north of Manuel Antonio, which was absolutely amazing - hanging bridges, waterfalls - we swam in one- and a nice lunch for an extra $5. We also drove to Dominical and took the road inland up to a point with a beautiful view and a good soda where we had lunch. All in all, it was an amazing experience that we will remember forever."

  • Once-in-a-lifetime trip!

"Spouse and I stayed at Casa Panorama Lower over the holiday for a once-in-a-lifetime trip. From booking with María through 4Tulemar site onward, our experience was seamless and wonderful. Concierge Kimberly answered all of our questions in the months leading up to the trip and made arrangements that worked perfectly. When we arrived at Tulemar, she showed us around, took us to market and bank, and gave us sound advice. We appreciated how she discerned that we were visiting for more contemplative reasons--checked in daily but gave us room, too. Casa Panorama itself has a beautiful view, and the Tulemar grounds, as everyone else notes, offer wonderful opportunities to see many precious things. The beach is lovely and secluded--plenty of sun, shade, sloths (the people who worked there were patient and generous in pointing the sloths out for eager folks), and squirrel monkeys. It was such a great week that we are trying to figure out how once-in-a-lifetime can become twice!"
