  • Perfect Property!

"I booked Casa de las Cascades for my 40th birthday and could not be happier with my decision. I travelled with 8 friends and the home worked perfectly. The house itself is architecturally stunning and very comfortable. The rooms are clean and simple and the fact that all rooms are en suite is a real plus. The house was equipped with everything we needed and although I had never been to Costa Rica before I thought the location was perfect. It was a short cab ride to restaurants, beaches, nightlife, etc. One of the best things about the house is the fact that the staff (and our concierge Vanessa) was beyond accommodating. Prior to our arrival she helped book excursions, dinners for nine, transportation, and even stocked the house with some essentials and wine. A lot of wine. Throughout the trip she was extremely responsive and helped with our many requests (ice, more wine, restaurant suggestions, etc.). Everything was completely seamless. We had a chef (Rodger) come and prepare breakfast most days and had one nice dinner at home that was great (and affordable) as well. Rodger and his team were amazing as well. Manuel Antonio is gorgeous and I can't recommend it enough. I would return to Casa de las Cascades in a second. The photos do not do justice to the views, the simple luxury of the home, or importantly the warmth of the folks who helped make my birthday so great at every point of the journey."

  • Amazing Once in a lifetime vacation and home!

"Fantastic. This house was all that promised and more. We were a group of 15, 13 adults and 2 small kids. It was also 5 separate families, so a very diverse group of friends. The house being 4 floors offered tons of privacy when we wanted it, but also was large enough to accommodate all of us at the table on the 3rd floor for all of our meals. We made full use of the whole house and the amenities provided. Shiona was a dream to work with. She scheduled all of our activities with groups that were not only professional but also very safe. We never once felt like we were with someone who we couldn't trust completely. The house has Lucy the housekeeper who we all felt so comfortable with, and she was there all the time, but you rarely saw her. She did laundry every day even though its only promised twice a week. She handled any thing we ran short of, constantly refilled coffee and sugar, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. It was a full service experience. (I didnt want to come home) The house location is right next to a great supermarket, with amazingly friendly staff. We were able to fully cook a traditional thanksgiving meal with everything they had in the store. We watched monkeys from the Tub on the roof most days. Our trips included off the beaten path, canyoning, ziplining, mangrove tour, and National Park tour. The only bad thing I can say is that the mangroves dont have as much wildlife as you might expect. We had hoped to see monkeys and sloths but they dont have much of either due to the particular climate and the daily change it has occuring. But all of our tours came with shuttle service, and usually a meal. We all loved the traditional Costa Rican food. We also never required renting a car since we had shuttles and tour pick ups everywhere we wanted to go. And walked to town for anything else. As an FYI, this home does not have DVD players and only 2 TVs. We didnt mind since we didnt plan on using them much, but the kids were a little disappointed at first. (It was good for them to go without though) All in all a great experience and we would use this company again in a heart beat for a return trip to Costa Rica."

"For being my first time in Costa Rica I don't think anywhere else could have topped where we stayed. A great location and beautiful scenery any direction you look."

  • The property is beautiful! Mike is great, and his home is amazing. Awesome location.

"I was traveling in Costa Rica for a month and this is the best place we stayed. The home itself is beautiful and charming, the beds are so comfortable. The pool is a nice way to end the day. Mike is great. Very hospitable and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The view is to die for! It is at the top of the hill with floor to ceiling windows in the front room looking out over the water. Wildlife is everywhere. Be careful opening the window that the monkeys don't get in! There are great restaurants and bars all in walking distance. Also there is a bank right next door with an atm and a small supermarket where you can get the basics, and a few boutiques where you can shop the local art and souvenirs. Easy bus or cab ride down the hill to town or the beach or the Manuel Antonio park. Mike and his friends at the office downstairs can help you book any activities. The wifi was the strongest signal of anywhere we have been. He also supplies a local phone so you don't have to use your cell phone for local calls that will run up your phone bill. There is also a full kitchen and washer and dryer, which was very much appreciated. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Thanks for a perfect end to our trip Mike!"
