"Everything was great and wonderful great location smack dab in between Manuel Antonio and quepos. The house was well equipped. Wouldn't have minded a softer mattress it is a decent firm mattress. However we are old and need overall experience was very good and we would definitely choose this place again."

  • Great Location, Great Stay

"This was our second time staying at Casa Bosque Verde & as before, we thoroughly enjoyed it! Osvaldo was there to welcome us with a nice basket of goodies & let us know if we needed anything he was always available. Antonio & his faithful companion, Mariposa, live on the property & he is a pleasure to see each morning, welcoming with a smile & a "buenas dias." Lucy, the housekeeper, came to clean, etc.several times during our stay, as well. And we definitely took advantage of the pool on a daily basis. We love coming to the Manuel Antonio area & will most assuredly stay at Casa Bosque Verde again! It was nice that there was a/c in the dining/living area this visit, last time we didn't have that. The only thing I would suggest is possibly some kind of shade in the kitchen to avoid it being so hot in there during the day."

  • Best vacation ever!!

"We were so happy with this house, the pool, the surroundings was all more than perfect for us. We were 3 adult couples and it was more than we hoped for. We felt safe and got front row seats to wildlife, while floating in the pool, hiking thru the jungle, or bumming on the beach all day long. The people were warm and kind. This is a gated community, and there was even a neighborhood dog (Diggitty) that we could visit. Local area has lots of night life, restaurants and shopping within 3 miles. We will never forget this trip, playing in the beautiful ocean, parasailing, zip lined thru the jungle, and took a catamaran to watch dolphins, and snorkeled with the fishes!! We appreciate the hospitality and we would like to come back again."

  • Jungle Paradise

"My wife and I stayed in Manuel Antonio for 3 days a few years back and we loved the area so much that we decided to bring a group of friends back in 2017 to share in the experience. Our group of 11 people stayed at the Rising Sun Villa for 11 nights and it could not have been more perfect. The house and grounds are beautiful, spacious, and very well-tended. With 11 people there was still more than enough room to have some privacy and enjoy the surroundings. Sari was very helpful and available to us in our initial planning. This was the first time we’d travelled in such a large group and we spent a good deal of time trying to organize everything. Sari set us up with Oliver at the Hotel Byblos to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Jeanette and Winston were wonderful and kept the house and grounds immaculate. We needed to have laundry done a few times due to the length of our stay and Jeanette took care of us; handling a few delicate items, we mistakenly left in the laundry, perfectly. Every day was an amazing adventure. It was really like living in a jungle theme park. We would wake up nearly every morning at sunrise for bird watching, and the array of wildlife was spectacular. We would see Scarlet Macaws, Toucans, Blue Mot Mots, and the local Kiskadees along with many birds we could not easily identify. Each day would bring a new troop of monkeys to the house including Capuchins, Ti Tis, and Howlers. The Capuchins especially were very mischievous but always entertaining. We were also visited by a three toed sloth who took up residence in the bamboo forest off the terrace for a day. We enjoyed trips to the local beaches, hiking through the national park, shopping and eating in the local center, as well as just relaxing at the house and in the pool. Our group also went zip lining in Jaco and deep sea fishing where we caught 4 Sailfish and a large Mahi Mahi. The Mahi provided us with dinner for 2 nights using the outside grill on the terrace. The Hotel Byblos restaurant and bar, as well as the other local restaurants, were all very good and provided us with more than enough variety. I also have to mention the local Café Milagro and their freshly roasted coffee. It is not an exaggeration to say that this was the trip of a lifetime for everyone in our group. The Rising Sun Villa is a magical place in the heart of a very active tropical paradise."
