  • Beautiful sunrise view

"My husband and I, and our two teenaged boys, were truly impressed with this beautiful property, the view from the infinity pool and all of the amenities (we had fun using the outdoor pizza oven!). The only disappointment (huge disappointment!) was the construction next door that lasted for 11-12 hours a day, every day (not only was it loud, but the workers were on the neighbouring roof constantly, so there was little privacy). I felt like I had to escape FROM the property from 6 am until 6 pm each day instead of escaping TO it! Once this construction is done in the community, I would definitely not hesitate in recommending it. If you are looking for a personal chef to cook for you, we cannot say enough about Camilo (and Antonia), who prepared us an outstanding feast on our last evening there (thanks to Gini for putting us in contact with him!). We loved the area and the quaint town of Montezuma - just keep in mind that it really is too far to walk to town, especially if you are carrying anything heavy, like groceries etc. As others have mentioned, an SUV is highly recommended. We enjoyed going to Montezuma falls, Cabo Blanco reserve and an excellent day long trip on a private chartered boat with the 'Montezuma Crew' (fishing, snorkelling and diving). Getting up early at least once to catch the sunrise is a must! Pura vida! :-)"

  • Nice house excellent location

"Nice 3 br 2 bath home on the hill above Montezuma. Wonderful deck and view as described with the best sunrises ever. Great for a home base to explore the area Montezuma, Cabuya, Cabo Blanco, and excellent surfing in Santa Teresa is not far at all. We saw tons of local wildlife and enjoyed great birding from the deck above the canopy. A/C in bedrooms worked great and found the breezes cool the house down in the eve but it can get warm. It is on a steep and curvy hill so a vehicle/quad is a must. Be prepared for a steep driveway to get in and out of. For the money it is an excellent value and was a great home during our trip."

  • A one of a kind property!

"Our family of five loved our stay at Casa Montezuma! We loved this unique hide away in the jungle - the rooms were comfortable, clean and provided everything we required. We really enjoyed spending time in one of the many outdoor living areas watching all of the wildlife. The property is secluded and beautiful but also close to gorgeous beaches, delicious restaurants and all the conveniences of town. Tito was very accommodating and made us feel right at home. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area."

"I spent a three-day weekend with some friends at this 27-1/2 Acre, Wildlife-Sanctuary Villa and had the time of my life! Eventhough I am not a foreign tourist (I’m a Costa Ricanliving all my life here, I have rented many vacation homes in Costa Rica, and this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. For example, I woke up at 5:30 a.m.on Saturday, and as I wassitting on the porch drinking my morning coffee, looking at the amazing view of the Sea, suddenly, a family of monkeys started coming to the mango trees. At the same time some little guatusas and pizotes were running across the grass in the garden, where there were hundreds of beautiful butterflies and all kind of little birds... later on I saw two little baby deer and foxes. I felt so blessed to be among these magnificent creatures! I said to myself, “This truly IS a “Sanctuary” not just for the animals, plants and birds but for ALL living creatures, such as myself! This wonderful Villa has so many comfortable spots to sit, read a book or just meditate. I said to myself, “Who needs a swimming pool, with chlorinated water, when you have a fresh-water riverwith natural swimming pools and all kinds of waterfalls just 50 meters down the path!”The town of Montezuma is less than a 5-minute drive (20 minute walk), down the hill, as are the miles of gorgeous beaches there. This rental property has everything that one needsin order to have a marvelous vacation; just make sure you try to stay at least 5 nights in order to fully relax into this magical paradise. I guarantee you will let go of all stresses and strains. I wish that I could have stayed longer, but I had to return to my home to go to work. This is truly a little piece of heaven and I felt honored to spend my weekend there. I thank you Kati for deciding to dedicate your land as a Wildlife Sanctuary and for donating ALL THE INCOME to supporting it as a not-for-profit entity!!!"
