  • Fantastic property,

"We are a family of 4 from UK and stayed for 10 days - with two children 19 and 16. The property was ideal for us, very secluded in a gated community in a lovely setting. The villa was very spacious with a large living area and bedrooms were ideal. The villa was incredibly clean and well stocked with towels etc and the kitchen was well equipped to cook regularly if you wanted to. We went out a bit as Ojochal has some great places to eat. The outside area was lovely with a small pool but it was ok for us, we did go in the sea a lot though! Nice to sit outside and listen to the wildlife, an amazing experience. Playa Ventanas was our favourite beach nearby but there are many others and brilliant waterfalls, even the small one in Ojochal. Alan couldn't have been more helpful in the run up to the booking, very friendly, efficient and great at communication, so many thanks to him. He was always willing to give us advice and help make the holiday the best possible. You will need a 4x4 car as the journey up to the villa is quite long and bumpy. The area is so incredibly beautiful we were sad to leave and I would heartily recommend both this villa and the area and people to anybody who wants a first taste of life in Costa Rica. One last thing, we went in the Green season (or wet season) - the best time we think. Beaches are quiet, cafes and restaurants are mostly still open, very few tourists and it the greenery is stunning at this time. Plus water in the waterfalls! Don't worry about the rain, it comes and goes and you still get plenty of sun in the morning and sometimes it doesn't rain at all. You can still go in the sea as its still 28-20 degrees!"

  • Jungle Bill

"Wow! An awesome contemporary home set in the lush jungle of Ojochal. As soon as we arrived I knew it was special. Toucans greeted us with fly byes as we unpacked. The home is master piece. Great kitchen with a Granite countertop made for a great social area. The views from the kitchen were dramatic Ocean vistas set in lush green jungle. Great Windows throughout the house allowed for great views and cool pacific breezes. All doors and windows are screened which allowed us the views and comfort yet kept all the jungle critters outside. Activities were at your doorsteps. Laze in the beautiful pool or take a walk behind the house for Monkey viewings and Toucan watching. The falls are in walking distance with a river that offers up spectacular swimming holes. We have been coming to Costa Rica for 20 years and this house was truely one of a kind. Our future plans would include friends and grandkids because of the grest sleeping arrangements with 3 full bedrooms which all have great private space. The only thing I can say is this house made our hearts sing Pura Vida!"

  • The property was beautiful and even nicer than we expected. Clean and well appointed.

"We had an incredible experience for our first time in Costa Rica. Loved the property. It was perfect for ourselves and our 4 adult children. We love to cook and the kitchen served us well. Lots of fresh and accessible food choices. Lots of space to spread out and enjoy this beautiful setting. Awesome outdoor eating area. We had to call 'dibs' on turns in the serene hammock area. Got up every morning and had coffee in the bird watching corner. Enjoyed sunsets by the pool. Packed very light so used the washer. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Dorothy and Len were incredibly accommodating. We did so much, but need to come back to experience all we didn't have time for as well. Would suggest bring some local currency as some settings had trouble making change for American and the exchange rate varied. Not an issue, but something to consider. Drive from San Jose was on a beautiful highway. Other roads are very twisty and turny and as I said 4 wheel drive is essential. All in all wouldn't change anything. Lovely people, lovely setting, lovely weather and a million things to do. Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven Dorothy and Len."
