A breathtaking retreat in an amazing location

My family of 5 (my husband, myself, and our 3 kids- ages 15, 12, and 9) recently returned from a week-long stay at this house in Costa Rica. Upon our arrival in Dominical, we met Sarah. She was delightful and took us on a tour of the area pointing out restaurants, beaches, and areas safe for swimming. She then took us up to the house, showed us around, and answered any questions that we had. Sarah can book any tours or activities that you would like to do while staying at the house as well as give you recommendations for things to do in the area. She booked a zip lining tour for us which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Paul was out of the country during our visit, but was available with quick responses throughout the entire process of booking our trip and preparing for our arrival. He also made himself available while we were there, but we were in very good hands with Sarah.
The house was beyond our expectations! There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 down, each with its own bathroom, balcony, and view of the ocean and/or jungle. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning, comfortable king sized beds, and televisions. The wifi works well; although, we found ourselves wanting to completely unplug in this beautiful setting. The house is very open with the kitchen and living room opening to the patio where there is a seating area, a dining table, and the pool. The view is absolutely breathtaking! The patio wraps around to an area surrounded by the jungle. This area has a seating area, a fire table, another dining table, hammocks, a pool table, and a foosball table, and a grill. The kids spent a lot of time there! From the house we saw a sloth, macaws, toucans, iguanas, and many other beautiful birds.
We truly enjoyed Dominical and the surrounding area. Within very short driving distance (1 or 2 minutes) are many restaurants and beaches. We did not have a bad meal! Dominicalito beach was our kids' favorite. We spent many afternoons there. We also took a short (maybe 15 minutes?) drive to Playa Uvita. We spent a morning on that beach and took a walk out onto the whale's tail at low tide which was very beautiful. Manuel Antonio is nearby as well. There are so many things to do and explore in the area. We could easily have stayed an extra week or 2 and found new things to do every day.
Stay here! You won't want to leave! I desperately miss waking up to that view!
