  • Perfect Beach Bungelow

"From check-in to check-out, this property was a breeze. This small community of 30 or so beach cottages was perfect for our group of 4. The home sits about 100 yards or so off the beach allowing your to hear the waves from the porch. Upon our arrival, the house was clean and seemed ready for us. The home had everything we needed in terms of amenities, which gave us a great feel of a home away from home. I do recommend having a car rental in this area to help your group get around. There are taxi services in the area but it is much easier to get a ride back to the house from town then vise versa. The home is situated about a 1/4 mile off the main highway on the dirt access road in Playa Hermosa. This is a surfers paradise as there are tons of consistent waves up and down the beach in Playa Hermosa. The one downfall of this beach is that it is Black Sand which makes it very hot to lay out on but the community pool offers a great solution to this. Jaco is the largest town in the area and is about 10 minutes north via car. Once you spend a day or two in Jaco, you'll realize you made the right choice by staying in Playa Hermosa. We stayed here during mid-August and the weather was perfect! The house as awesome, the hospitality was amazing, the communication was convenient. Thank you for the memories!"

  • Best vacation ever!

"Our group of 7 women had been planning this for almost a year and were not disappointed at all. The property was amazing and the crew - Willie, Lizbeth, Saul, and Miseal made it just remarkable. Every excursion was incredible and just relaxing with our typico dinners was equally as pleasing. There really was not a single detail that could have possibly been any better. We all would highly recommend Casa Carolina for anyone going to Costa Rica!"

  • Secluded, peaceful, and magical stay!

"We stayed at Casa Cielo for 2 nights--it was not enough time! Perched on a hillside with a magnificent view toward the gulf, this cabin feels like it's in it's own world. It's a unique location and a really special place--do yourself a favor and book a stay here! On our way up, we stopped by the Sustainability Demonstration Center to meet Veronica, and would strongly encourage everyone to do the same--she's so wonderful and they're doing great work there! We also got to visit the farmers market across the street which was lovely. When we arrived at Casa Cielo, Giselle met us, showed us around, and provided delicious, farm-fresh, homemade refreshments! The cabin has everything you need, and is comfy and cozy. We had some dog and cat visitors, strays or neighbors but all very friendly, so that's a bonus if you love animals! The location is very convenient if you want to visit the cloud forest, and Veronica's recommendation/help with reservations at Selvatura Park was very valuable. Can't say enough good things about this special place, and can't wait to go back! Very highly recommended!"

  • The best Monteverde housing for big groups

"I recommend the TreeTop House emphatically. We had an unbelievable experience here! Sabine is such a gracious host and we could not have asked for a better location. It's smack dab between the Monteverde Cloud Forest and Monteverde the town, so you can easily get to everything. Sabine made us feel right at home and recommended a lot of restaurants that proved to be some of our favorite meals in Costa Rica. Plus, there's a kitchen in the property so you can save money and cook for yourselves. Sabine was easy to communicate with leading up to the trip, answering all our questions and helping us plan our arrival. She booked a shuttle for us to get to and from the TreeTop House. Once we arrived, Sabine helped us plan our itinerary and figure out which things to do in Monteverde. Besides being in a convenient location, it is also in a beautiful location. The TreeTop House is surrounded by trees and there are few places in Costa Rica as magical as sitting on the hammock and enjoying the view on the upper deck. The house itself has plenty of room for multiple families. It's nice because there are tons of beds for everyone, but it never feels too crowded. You can fit everyone while still enjoying privacy. So if you are coming with big groups or multiple families, this is the place for you. All in all I would tell just about everyone and anyone to come and enjoy this gorgeous home away from home!"
