  • Perfect home for a Manuel Antonio vacation

"My family of four stayed at Brooks Hacienda for six nights during our two weeks in Costa Rica. We were greeted by Howler monkeys upon arrival and Capuchins the following morning - what a special treat! The home is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Kate and Randy have stocked the home with anything you might need for cooking a meal (if you aren't enjoying the many wonderful restaurants in MA), plus plenty of bath towels and pool towels. Fans throughout the house help to keep it cool inside and the lovely patio gets a nice breeze during the morning and later afternoon. We loved the pool! It is solar heated and the perfect temperature, not cold at all, but not too warm either - just right. Swimming in the morning or later afternoon/evening is wonderful because the sun is not bearing down on you at those times of the day. The view is beautiful! We saw plenty of birds, including toucans in a nearby tree. I found it to be very peaceful, especially in the morning sipping my coffee listening to the birds. Kate and Randy were living downstairs while we visited, always available if needed, but giving us our privacy as well. Such a nice couple and was a pleasure to meet them! If we are fortunate to vacation again in Manuel Antonio we wouldn't hesitate to book Brooks Hacienda again - it was a perfect home base for our family!"

  • Pure Paradise

"Our stay was everything we hoped for, and more. Sharon is an amazing host, and her banana bread is delicious!!! The property is secluded and beautiful. From the fruit trees, to the flowers, and the walkway throughout the property. We enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to nature while having our morning coffee. The cabina is equipped with all of the necessities, but the restaurants in the area are amazing. Tortuga Beach is a must, when the tide is out, and hopefully you will see the flock of macaws......truly breathtaking!!!! We highly recommend Bali Rica while in the south of Costa Rica........thank you Sharon!!"

  • Nine days in Paradise at Dos Iguanas Guest House

"The Guest House at Dos Iguanas is in a perfect Cabuya location with plenty of privacy and within easy walking distance to shopping for all of the essentials, as well as near several restaurants. The house was exactly as advertised, with a well-stocked kitchen, a nice bathroom, a spacious bedroom and sitting room upstairs, and a pleasant outdoor dining space. We spent much time relaxing in the hammock, and we loved being high up in the trees and sharing the place with our frequent iguana, monkey, and bird friends. It was wonderful to be able to open the many sliding windows, but we also appreciated the screening and the fan upstairs. My cousin and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay there as a base for our adventures in and around Cabuya, including swimming right out front at high tide, a hike in Cabo Blanco Reserve, a walk to and swim at Cemetery Island, an early morning walk to the river to see many birds, and several bus rides to Montezuma for some lazy days at Playa Grande. Although we were sad to leave, we are sure there will be many others who will have the pleasure of staying at this unique and beautiful gem, and that perhaps we will return again someday. Thank you, Sean, for sharing your special place with us."

  • We loved this property and surrounding jungle!

"We loved this property! We had our three children with us and loved the pool and house. The property is beautiful and Keyner is very helpful in keeping the pool cleaned while his sister is happy to help with housework if you desire. We cooked most of our meals and loved eating out by the pool. Enjoyed the creatures around the house such as bats and monkeys. We had a great stay and loved the access to close beaches and restaurants in the town of Santa Teresa."
