  • Get Away to Costa Rica

"We had a wonderful time at Villa Claudia! Claudette has a lovely property--the gardens and pool are impeccable with butterflies and most daily viewings of Scarlett Macaws--delightful!! Claudette is very helpful and responsive to questions, needs, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the "small village" atmosphere, encountered no issues and found the local residents friendly. An added bonus was meeting so many nice people from around the world who stayed at the other casita attached to Villa Claudia. The location is ideal for day trips traveling to the north/south/east (to go west you would be right in the Pacific!) with Jaco and Parritta just down the road. If you like beach front warmth without overcrowding, you are looking at the right place! Thank you for a memorable stay! We miss you, Claudette, and pets to the kitty-cats and our favorite toads :-)"

  • A fantastic Villa with all of the amenities!

"My wife and I booked this villa for our first vacation in Costa Rica. Additionally, our grown sons and their partners joined us. Let me say that we found the villa to be fantastic in every way! There are three ample bedrooms so that everyone has their own space. Every bedroom has sliders out to the villa-length deck. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom with double sinks and a huge jetted tub and separate shower. The kitchen/living room (great room) is very large allowing space for reading, sitting, cooking, or other indoor activities. But who wants to be indoors when the view from the deck is of the ocean and the mainland beyond. You can watch the ferry to the mainland go back and forth throughout the day. You could also see the clouds that hover over the section called the cloud forest on the mainland side. And if you want, and I did, watch all of the activity while standing in the pool on the deck. A wonderful way to cool down in a very private setting. Caroline, the property concierge, was extremely helpful in scheduling anything we needed. On two mornings, she scheduled a girls, then a boys morning of massages in-villa for us all. She and her husband, Michael, run a great little restaurant down at the beach on this compound that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very good! Overall, Costa Rica has so much to offer, you can’t see it all in one trip. We made it a point to do all of the activities we could on the Nicoya Peninsula (where this villa is located) on this trip, such as the great beaches in Samara and to stay at other places on the mainland for future trips to see other attractions. We did take the car on the ferry (ferry landing very close by) and drove to the Monteverde area. We stayed overnight at Pension Santa Elena for short money to take in the Cloud Forest, Monteverdi Coffee tour and other sights. The property was very clean and well maintained and the only down note was that the air conditioning unit in one bedroom did not work and took 4 days to get it looked at and repaired. With the weather at 93 degrees every day, it was a slight inconvenience to not have it, but it did not affect my extremely positive review. So, if you are most interested in activities on the Nicoya Peninsula and want a fantastic place to stay with the utmost in privacy, this Villa will deliver!"

  • All the nature you could want

"My family and in-laws stayed at the house for a little less than a week. The hose is literally a 5 minute walk to the beach and just off the road. During our stay, we saw all kinds of nature including two kinds of monkeys, a few large iguana's (that both live on the property) and this was just while sitting in the backyard and swimming in the pool. We have two teenage boys that were able to stay in the cabana on the other side of the pool. We walked over to elcoyote cafe a couple of the afternoons and enjoyed their fresh fruit smoothies. You are a short 10 minute drive from town where we were able to go on a few excursions. The best trip that we took was the snorkeling tour out to isla tortuga. We saw a ton of fish (including some small sharks) and saw macaw's and parrots on the beach. Overall it was a great trip and if you are looking to enjoy nature while you are in costa rica, this is the place!"
