  • A DREAM!

"The home was absolutely perfect for our family and friends to stay in! We ABSOLUTELY love Dominical and cannot wait to come back!!! The town was loaded with cute restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. We frequented Cafe Mono Congo and love it! Location wise, it would have definitely been A WALK to get to the beach and amenities, but do-able (although we drove every time). I do not think you could get up the driveway without a 4 wheel drive vehicle as our neighbors had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up because their van wouldn't make it up. The house greeted us with LOTS of bottled water and a plate that was FULL of fresh fruit. It was extremely clean and well maintained. We were met down the road and we followed the host to the home and she showed us around and how to use everything. Left her cell number in case we had any questions or problems that arose while we were there. It was very hot and humid while we were there so the outdoor shower and dip pool was constantly in use! There was a family of iguanas who lived in the front yard and kept my girls very occupied! The view was spectacular and patio/furniture was where we spent most of our time. We will definitely come back and definitely stay here again! Without a doubt we would recommend people to stay here!"

  • Definitely 5 Stars! Fabulous House ! Great Vacation!

"Driving from the San Jose Airport to Los Suenos was well worth the drive! The view from the Carvajal home takes your breath away daily. The house exceeded all of our expectations. The house is very clean and well kept. We felt very safe during our entire stay. It is a gated community and therefore you have to be granted access to get into the community. Maureen the maid is awesome! We just loved her. She was very attentive and she is a great cook. The first day when we arrived she pulled out a schedule for the meal plans. She cooks breakfast and lunch. She made us some very delicious Costa Rican dishes. Even my picky eater would eat all of his food. Some of the food Examples included: Gallo Pinto, Arroz con Pollo, and Cazado. She even gave us a mini cooking lesson because we wanted to know some of her cooking secrets. She is soooooooo sweet. We just loved loved loved Maureen. Donald the grounds keeper is also around to help out. He sets up the outdoor furniture cushions and cleans the outside daily. He is also there to turn the spa on and off for you and with any troubles that may arise. 10 total people stayed comfortably. We also visited the community pool and beach area and everything was nice and clean. There was a grounds person also cleaning the private beach area. Los Suenos isn't too far from Jaco and there is a Market that is not too far as well. We booked excursions to ride ATV's (Jaguars were great), we did the Canopy Ziplining Tour and we loved it, and my kids rafted on the Naranjo River. All excursion companies that we used picked us up from the house. We did go out and explore a lot and we always came back to relax and jump into the pool and look at the view. If we were out exploring during lunch Maureen would leave the prepared meals. We got visitors almost daily coming from the trees that are directly behind the house. Monkeys would come by and we would watch them from the infinity pool. We would leave bananas out so that they could get a little closer. We saw several large iguanas and of course cute little geckos. Great family vacation! One of our best family vacations! Hope you love this home as much as our family did!"

  • Heaven on Earth

"The word paradise only touches on describing this magical place. This breezy house of mahogany, awash with the scent of tropical flowers, this is the stuff dreams are made of. The abundant sunshine, the private beach just steps away, the chatter of wild parakeets that wake you in the morning, the breathtaking sunsets to wish you a goodnight, the magnificent tropical storms, the overwhelming sense of peace. All this and so much more make this place a true heaven on earth. I stayed for two weeks with my 6 year old son. It was an enchanted journey that we’ll never forget. Alex and Mary were the most gracious of hosts who went over and above to make our stay unforgettable. I can’t recommend this beautiful beach house (or these people) more. This was not a vacation for us but rather a new family tradition!"

  • Great view

"We enjoyed staying in this typical Tico bungalow. The view is beautiful. We could see so much vegetation and the ocean. The yard is lovely and filled with animals. We went to sleep and woke up to the sounds of birds. We even saw a sloth just down the road. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off sandy feet. The house was clean and met our needs. It looks like the pictures posted. We had to get comfortable with the lack of glass windows however having the screens provided wonderful breezes and made us feel part of the landscape. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed. There are plenty of towels and two beach chairs. The house is secure with an alarm, safe and good lighting. The internet would go on and off which required us to keep resetting it. Our host Rebecca is wonderful. She has a full book with the house information and local tours and activities. She arranged several guided tours at the National Forest and Butterfly Garden. She told us the best place to park for the beach and where to eat. The house is centrally located and stores, restaurants and pharmacy are within walking distance. This is also a draw back since the road is very noisy and traffic continued until about 10 pm as well as the music at the bar across the street. We learned to adjust. Costa Rica is a beautiful country. We really enjoyed our visit."
