  • Cozy Little Condo!

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Veranda for ten fabulous days with my husband as we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. John was amazing from the very beginning and his condo was perfect for us two. Very safe, quiet, perfect maintenance, great accommodations, beds extremely comfortable, full kitchen with all the appliances, dishes, etc. Close to the shopping center, gym, beach club and the Marina/restaurants. We loved Veranda 5E and plan on renting again next October. Pura Vida! xo"

  • Great Vacation

"My family and I came to Costa Rica from New Jersey to enjoy a bit warmer weather since our December had been colder than usual. We envisioned long, warm days lounging and swimming at the pool enjoying the beautiful surroundings. This home is truly lovely, well-kept, clean and nice as the pictures displayed at VRBO. If I were rating this review solely on the house, it would be 5 stars. However, there two areas of the home that I believe that the owner may want to consider improvement on – 1) the master bathroom shower drainage system needs replacement/repair and 2) the living room large black sofa is in poor condition. Matt, the caretaker, was a great help for anything we needed. He was attentive and addressed our concerns timely. He made suggestions regarding restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife in Jaco which is 10 minutes driving by car from the house. Playa Hermosa is super cool little town with amazing beaches, views, waves, restaurants and bars. We rented a car so the trips to and from Jaco for dinner, nightlife, afternoon surfing contests, etc were a blast. We visited Manuel Antonio beach (1.5 hrs drive from the house), went zip lining and rode ATV, which we loved. We also visited Arenal volcano, which was a long trip, but worth it. We loved the volcano and surrounding areas. Next time we will check out the hot spring. All in All it was one of the nicest places we have stayed in Costa Rica...This was our 2nd time in the country, So a big thanks to Liz and Matt for allowing us to stay in your home and taking good care of us. • Very nice and great location

"We were very happy with the place. Such great access to the beach since it was directly on the beach. We loved the little community it was in. Everyone was so nice. Tracey was great. She works so hard and it shows. The pool was great but HOT. Which isn't a problem for me. Great hot weather. My only issue was that none of the outdoor lights worked. Which wasn't a huge deal since we were so tired at night we went to bed quite early. But it would have been helpful for the stairs and shining on the lock so we could see where to put the key. Something very minor but thought owner should know about it so it can be taken care of. All in all we would definitely rent again and Richard the owner is so helpful in making everything happen. Thank you for a great vacation."

  • Highly recommended!

"This is a beautiful house. It's located about 15 miles or so south of Jaco. It is located in a very secure gated community at Bejuco Beach. Not too much going on in Bejuco Beach itself, but there is a nice, very quiet beach there. One day while walking to the beach a large group of scarlet macaws flew down and landed in a tree near us. They are so cool. That was a treat! The house had everything you need for cooking, washer, dryer, and was very clean and well maintained. Each bedroom had it's own private bath. The AC worked great! We couldn't get the wifi to work. It would say it was connected, but we couldn't access the internet. Not too big a deal, my phone worked great there so we could check emails using that. The house is not too far a drive from Jaco where there are many restaurants and shops. There are also several restaurants located on the road between Bejuco Beach and Jaco that are right on the water. We visited many. It is also a close drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. I highly recommend this park. We saw many animals, and the monkeys are all over the beach. The beaches there are spectacular!"
