  • Stunning Condo; Relaxing Lifestyle

"The property is just stunning; very well maintained. The condo itself is beautifully appointed. My favorite spot was under the Paradise Found sign on the spacious deck, where I must admit I fell asleep several nights in the soft warm air. The pool was always a refreshing dip after the ocean swim. I must warn you that the sand is from lava rock and somewhat course. The ocean temperature is perfect, but be careful of the rip tides and be prepared for some strong waves. Jaco is a surfing destination after all! The food is fantastic; produce as fresh as can be, flavorful and delicious, whether you cook for yourself or eat out."

  • Mostly Terrific

"We visited in mid-July with my daughter, her friend, and her two children and had a mostly terrific experience. The main part of the house and the pool are really incredible. Loved the open concept - always had a great view of the ocean/bay whether from the house or pool. The surroundings provided privacy and the feeling of being away from it all. Loved having the awesome pool to ourselves (and the occasional vulture that would land for a drink). Being the "rainy" season had us a little concerned but Javier told us not to worry - that the days would be beautiful and any rain would be in the evening or night. He was exactly right! A typical day was to get up and spend the day in and around the pool. Didn't miss TV and/or using my phone to stay in touch with people in the U.S. The internet service was sufficient to pick up texts, emails, and news. The house, pool and grounds are well maintained by Javier and his crew and they were quick to take care of a couple of small problems (light on patio not working, bulbs burnt out). Some things to consider: The house is about 3 hours from the nearest major airport. We flew in to Liberia - easy to get through customs and Javier was there to pick us up and had a great opportunity to see much of the country while driving down - including about 40 minutes of gravel road. The sidewalk to the hotel / restaurant / beach is quite steep and anyone with health issues may not be able to negotiate it. There are other nearby (walking distance) restaurants - not a problem for us since Javier helped us get to grocery stores, meat markets and fruit stands where we bought was was needed to cook / grill our meals. The two main bedrooms (while roomy) are somewhat rustic. One bedroom in the back building is small but has an attached bathroom. The other bedroom is large, but no attached bathroom so will need to go to one of the other bedrooms for access to a bathroom. All bathrooms are only accessible from bedrooms. Javier provides not only excellent property management but also provided us with transportation when needed and helped with an excursion that helped build great memories. He is great to work with as everyone has said! Overall - a great vacation - relaxing - beautiful - great times - great memories with family - great pictures - great times in the pool (did I say great times in the pool)!"

  • For a sought-after beach town, the apartment we rented was both large and comfortable.

"The description of this location, 'a jungle oasis in the heart of Sámara' is accurate. Some four apartments are well placed on a small footprint of an apartment that manages to combine lots of birds (including hummingbirds), iguanas, dragon flies, and nearby Howler Monkeys as amiable neighbors. Dana was very easy to work with before and during our visit. The apartment was large and comfortable. Unseasonably cool temperature meant we didn't need to use the available air-conditioning, but it would have been a huge asset if Sámara had been as hot during our visit as it often becomes. The availability of a clothes washer and dryer was a boon to us at the halfway stage of a two-week Costa Rican vacation. We didn't use the small pool, but it's right there as needed. The Sámara Beach itself did not strike us as Costa Rica's best sandy offering. But then we discovered just a few kilometers away the Pacific Coast's extraordinary Playa Carrillo. It was breathtakingly gorgeous with only a few souls sharing its expanse with us. New time, we'll head street for Play Carillo for the sun-sand-and-water part of the visit. It's easily accessible by car from Casa Bambula and would be do-able as a bike trip as well."

  • Amazing experience!

"We stayed with our 4 kids 4 days and I can tell you it was the best part of our 2 weeks trip through Costa Rica. The location and the house itself are beautiful. We will recommend this house to anybody."
