  • Amazing Place!

"My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary. The views and house are incredible, the gardner was so friendly and kind, and the owners were great. It was our own private paradise."

  • Ideal location...great people

"Just returned from 12 absolutely wonderful days at this condo. It was a perfect fit for us and we loved how close the beach is (only steps) and the access to the pool is ideal (even less steps). We had family, with several young adults, staying right next door and they were always on the go: goofing around on the beach, boogie boarding, walking to town (short walk or a $2 cab ride), or planning excursions (which can be set up through either Celine, the people at the gatehouse, online or while walking around downtown). When we arrived, Celine met us at the condo with a welcome package including milk, eggs, avocado, mango, beer and wine which was awesome after an exhausting day of travel. Celine was always available to tend to our needs and offer suggestions for activities. Attention to detail or what? Lovely units...very lovely people. Always enjoyed chatting with Celine and Anne Catherine (who just happened to be there...lucky us!) There is NO hustle and bustle at this complex but a casino next door which can provide some of this and Clarita's which is entertaining in itself (Bucket of beer for $10 and too many interesting signs to keep you chuckling). Quite a variety of entertainment (all kinds...stories from the kids) can be found downtown though. We met some great people around the pool where most gathered "sometime during the day" to share stories of their adventures and give ideas for new ones. Walked the beach every morning for sunrise and enjoyed amazing sunsets from the beach or even the patio (yes the patio!) every evening. Photo ops everywhere...iguanas poolside, macaws in the trees, toads on the patio...on and on! Taco Bar was a favourite for the kids, Morales for ribs, great food at the Wishbone...too many options...even cooked at home a few times. Thank you sooo much for everything! We will be back!"

  • Unforgettable Experience!

"Our family stayed at Villa La Macha December 2-9th, 2016. It was paradise! There were 9 adult family members/friends and plenty of space to hang out together or have some alone time. Every day we would wake up to a wonderful breakfast being made. Jota and his wife and mom arrived at 8am and started preparing breakfast and any other meal we wanted to have that day. They went grocery shopping for us and made several special trips. Jota really went out of his way to make us all feel pampered. He arranged last minute tours and made sure we got good deals. We went down the trail to Playa La Macha several times during the trip. The hike back up the hill is a bit tiring, but the sandy beach and perfect waves made it well worth it. At the house, we had dinner every night on the porch overlooking the water. The food was so delicious and healthy. Fresh guacamole every day made for a special treat. I have stayed at many VRBO's but this was the absolute best experience and we all want to go back soon. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience! Oh, and you will love the monkey's in the yard....it's like your own national park! Gracias!"

  • Beautiful Honeymoon

"We could not have asked for a better honeymoon! The grounds are spacious and gorgeous with nature all around you. Wonderful views all the way to the ocean. (I have many videos of the plant and animal life in the yard) The neighbors are so far away, you feel as though you are on your own island! It was very private. In the early morning and evening, the toucans would come out and call to one another in the trees on the property. The house even provided a telescope to see into the rainforest which surrounds the house. We came during the rainy season and it did rain some, but it was so warm out that it was fun to go swimming. The house provides so much: a pool table, bbq, outdoor shower, 2 hammocks, pool lounges, workout equipment, a ping pong table, A/C, an indoor spa tub, a juicer, a t.v., telescope, an on site nature trail, 24 hour security with Juan and Raul and a wonderful, personal host, Jose, who helps you do anything you'd like to do! He can recommend and set up a catamaran adventure, zip line, a nature walk with a waterfall and pools to swim in, massages, facials, restaurants, nightlife and the list goes on and on! His knowledge of the people and culture were of such value to us. Even getting to the grocery store! There are a couple restaurants that became our go-to for an impromptu night out. And if we wanted to eat in, we popped round to the local grocery store and stocked up on goodies for the fridge. Quepos and Manuel Antonio were about a 20minute drive away. When we were craving a pizza, we went in to town for a great pie! Everything you could want was so close and almost everyone speaks English. (Although when we go back I hope to be much more fluent in Spanish) We definitely plan on coming back with friends and family. This was more than we hoped for!"
