  • Beautiful home in Manuel Antonio away from it all

"My wife, eight year old son and I stayed at Casa Gina from 3/25-3/31/2016 and it is a wonderful home. Situated atop a high hill in a nice gated community you feel secluded, but you're only 2 minutes away from restaurants, sights and beaches. The home is well appointed, very clean and large enough to accommodate 6 very comfortably. You have all the comforts of home with washer/dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher, BBQ, pool, safe and alarm. They have an always hot hot water system that some complained about, and at first we agreed until we figured out to keep the handles about middle and the water will stay a pretty constant warm...otherwise you will cycle between extreme heat and then cold water. My one complaint is the wifi, it is very slow and only allows for checking email, sending text messages (no pictures in those) and maybe doing some light web browsing, but don't expect pages to load quickly. Also, don't expect to stream anything either, it was enough for what we needed, but had hoped for a slightly faster connection. You can expect to see sloths, monkeys, iguanas and lots of birds in the back yard, which was nice when we'd relax at the pool. Tip, if you are going to do any tours of any kind, they will usually pick you up right from the house or at least the front gate of the community saving you from having to find places there, which is not always easy since many streets don't have signs in CR. Take the ATV tour to Rainmaker, its a great area and has a local brewery there serving fantastic beer. Gary and Gina were very easy to work with and Jeannette and Carlos (the local contacts in Costa Rica) were great. We would definitely go back again and recommend this place to anyone!!"

  • Pictures do not do this palace justice!

"Our group of 12 stayed comfortably in this stunning villa over looking the Pacific Ocean. It is situated on a hill, with cooling breezes, and unparalleled views. It is extremely private and quiet. a 5 min. +/- drive from central Montezuma. Gourmet kitchen is well equipped. It is very clean and has attentive caretakers ready to meet your needs. Thank you for sharing this beautifully thought out and constructed dream house with us!"

  • great stay at the beach

"We enjoyed our stay very much. the weather was perfect. the house was very comfortable, and had all the amenities of houses in the US (including A/C). the house is beachfront, and the plunge pool was very refreshing. the location was perfect - Esterillos Oeste, while small, has everything you need for an extended stay - variety of restaurants, small grocery store, fresh fruit, and the freshly caught fish. not a bad drive from San Jose about 1-1/2 hours, and close to both Jaco and Manuel Antonio. Both Kate and Dave were very accommodating to every request we made. If we return to Costa Rica, we would certainly consider staying here again."

  • A perfect blend of primitive luxury...

"The location is the best you will find in this area. You are walking distance to grocery stores, bakery, restaurants, and many more boutiques etc. as the house is located off of the main road. But because the property is set on such a big piece of land, it feels so incredibly secluded, and you hear nothing but the waves and the pitter-patter of the nature that surrounds you. To the right is a vast expanse of sand bottom surf breaks, and to the left is an isolated swimming bay. There are giant tide pools at low tide right outside the back gate, fun to explore, and even a few spots that make little moonlight jacuzzis if you time it right. The house is pristine. Everything you need. Comfortable and accommodating in the cool A/C bedrooms, the inviting open air kitchen, and the hammock-laden wrap around back porch overlooking the HUGE yard and the beckoning ocean. Our house keeper came every other day and the security was posted every night, dusk til dawn. Our caretaker was incredibly helpful in arranging our transportation to and from the airport and also arranging our ATV rentals (A must if you want to adventure and explore the coastline). They answered all our questions before our trip and the warm hospitality when we arrived was wonderful. I have absolutely NO complaints, as the house, the owners, and the staff all exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 6 adults (couples and singles) and the experience lent itself well to both privacy and play. We will be back for sure."
