  • Lovely House - Perfect for a family reunion!

"Visited August 25-31, 2016. The house is beautiful, modern, well-maintained, and very private. COMMON AREAS are open concept: living room/dining-room/kitchen. There is a large TV (no cable), DVD player with lots of movies. Evenings are hot, even with all doors open. I’d like to suggest a couple of ceiling fans OR tower fans. BEDROOMS: The four bedrooms are in a separate, lockable wing; we slept feeling very secure. All bedrooms have A/C, which is a must for the hot and humid nights. CARETAKERS: Maritza and husband are sweet and helpful. We hired them for additional services (cooking/cleaning/washing). Maritza is an excellent cook; give her instructions how you want the food prepared. The wash: I am afraid, though, without a washing machine, washing for a large family (we were 10 people) it’s a bit taxing, especially with the humid, rainy weather. I'd like to suggest a washing machine! LOCAL FOOD STORES/ATTRACTIONS: We ate a lot of fresh fish purchased at the Co-Op less than two miles away. The fish arrives fresh daily. There are many little stores outside; the staff will run errands for you (small fee). Otherwise, there is a Super Talpa supermarket 5 miles away. CAR RENTAL: strongly suggest a car retal, for errands, local attractions, to/from airport, etc. Driving is easy and safe. The directions provided are easy. RESTAURANTS: a couple of western style restaurants are nearby. Many little kiosks right outside the house open at night and prepare pupusas, we didn't feel lucky. Maritza can make these for you! ATRACTIONS: Less than 15 miles away is Estero y Mar, on Pimental Beach. We ate lunch and took a mangrove tour by boat, or you can hire kayaks. THE BEACH: The beach itself was a bit of a let-down the sense that there were rip tides present (we took a couple of nasty tumbles). It is not a flat beach, and dips into the ocean. People should not venture alone into these waters, and kids need to be supervised. Other than that, it’s a nice beach for viewing and walks in the evening. SECURITY: The house has open access to the beach, and there is light gate; we felt safe at all times. Plus locking the sleeping quarters area, gave us a sense of security. SUMMARY: A lovely house, spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful, clean swimming pool! The owners are also lovely and we kept open communication going before traveling. Bring your favorite cooking spices, or things that you can’t do without, as those may not be found there. Highly recommended!"

  • relaxing weekend away

"my family of 6 stayed at this home last weekend and cannot say enough good things bout the property and the caretaker roberto. the house was so clean and tidy. i reserved last minute and the house was ready in very short notice and felt like i could have eaten of the floors . the grounds are so well kept it looked like a golf course and the views from second level from the balcony and my wife and i spent the afternoon in the resting in the sea breeze in the hammocks on the second level with a perfect ocean view. i only got up to get a drink and to refresh by jumping in the pool . my kids spent every moment in the pool or in the ocean at low tide mostly. i cannot not to return for another weekend away. thanks Darrick you were fantastic and made it so easy to book and arrange our family weekend away."

  • From Australia.

"My family and i stayed at this beautiful place in El Salvador, i can not say anything bad about it, our experience was amazing ! For those of you who are thinking to book this place let me tell you that you've chosen a house where everything is provided, you don't need to take anything with you except your food. There is a supermarket about 10-15mins from there if you run out of something... You are also dealing with a very respectful couple who is always available to answer any question you might have. Rafael thank you so much for everything, our family really enjoyed the time we were there and this is going to be the place where we will stay everytime we visit our pulgarcito. God bless you!"

  • Gratified

"Staying at Casa Blanca was a memorable experience. I stayed with my family for about 5 days- June 28, 2016 until July 2, 2016 and i did not want to leave. The staff was fantastic and attentive to all of our needs. They went up and beyond to make us feel at home and treated me like a Queen. I think everyone in the world should considered staying here at some point. The staff was generous and the house was gorgeous. The pictures do not do justice for how beautiful the house really is. It was well kept and extremely clean. Even though the owner was not present she called to make sure we had everything we needed and to ensure we were satisfied with our stay. I loved it and I have referred it to all my friends who visit El Salvador for vacation. I would absolutely stay at Casa Blanca again."
